Initial Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2015/09/22) */
On 8/13/15 tech went out and performed testing to determine that the compressor was not kicking in and that there due to no power from the control board. 8/10/15 replaced the control board and unit was functioning/making ice. 8/14/15 customer...

called and stated it was not making ice again we went out on 8/17 and machine was not pumping water into reservoir, tech poured water into reservoir and watched machine make 2 cycles of ice. Replaced inlet valve and it filled with water immediately and began making ice. Customer was very agitated and hateful to the tech when he called to tell him he was on his way and wanted to speak with the owner. Owner spoke with customer and explained to him that these were 2 different issues and customer told owner to do the repair as scheduled. Again after inlet valve was replaced machine was functioning. On 8/31 customer called and said machine was not working again on 9/1 tech went our and machine was off. Tech turned unit on it ran a rinse cycle and began making ice. Allowed unit to go thru one cycle unplugged unit and checked resistance between pins on compressor, all was normal. Plugged unit in and again it ran rinse cycle and it made a batch of ice. Spoke with customer to get more information on the problem and she stated the ice seemed wet at first and the machine seemed warm inside, then the ice melted. She turned the machine off at this point. Told customer with those symptoms that the compressor was most likely going bad and/or a slow leak in the system. 9/2 Customer called MRA office upset that he had replaced parts and now it needed more. Owner explained to him that each part that was replaced was bad and the unit worked for a period of time after all of the parts were replaced. Unfortunately when a control board is bad like we replaced initially and until it is functioning properly there is no way to determine that other parts or bad. As with anything that is being used appliances, cars, etc. there is never a guarantee that only one thing will be the problem.
