Review: I contacted Mr. Appliance to repair my [redacted] oven. The oven temperature would not get hot. The first time the repairman came, he replaced the thermostat and leaved without checking if that fixed the problem. ( It didn't). The 2nd time the same repairman came, he arrived with a
[redacted] computer board that was for a different model and it wouldn't fit. He left and stated he would order the correct board. that is the last I ever heard from Mr. Appliance!
I called them back and was told that they would give me a complete refund for $239.72
Never heard from them again!Desired Settlement: Payment for $239.72

I have reviewed the offer made by the business in reference to complaint ID[redacted], and find that this resolution would be satisfactory to me. I will wait for the business to perform this action and, if it does, will consider this complaint resolved. If the company does not perform as promised I can get back to you at: [redacted]
Regards,
The business, Mr. Appliance finally sent me a reimbursement check for the total amount after many, many phone calls. However, I would not recommend doing business with them because the manager does not return calls or provide feedback. She went out of her way to avoid me. Luckily, I was able to contact the business owner and he listened to my complaint and he returned payment.
Review: The initial visit to repair a freezer went well with the technician identifying the issue and requiring $300 check to order the part. For the next 7 weeks we received little information and what we did was always the part would be arriving soon and blaming the distributor who could not get the part. There was never a single proactive call and it usually took numerous calls/voicemails to get any response. On June 7th, sent certified letter after yet 2 weeks of no response to another phone message from us requesting a refund. June 10th, received a call from them indicating the check would go out that day or the next at the latest. That was 2 1/2 weeks ago and nothing has been delivered to us. As a side note, we contacted a different repair company who identified the problem, ordered the part and had it fully repaired within 5 days. The part cost roughly half of what Mr. Appliance had estimated.Desired Settlement: I want the full $300 amount they received a check for and have cashed refunded to me immediately.
