Unfortunately, none of these statements are true. We were and are still willing to come out and attempt a service for the customer. The service charge would apply as they are years outside of their workmanship warranty period. The customer has also made a complaint via facebook that I responded to requesting that they contact me to discuss. The customer did not respond

system will leak While ice shield sticks to the roof deck and seals around nails, it is not a swimming pool liner When you called in last year we were taking hundreds of phone calls from people all over Western New York, but specifically people South of Depew I apologize if we came across as "short" last year on the day you called but we were working very hard to answer the phone for as many people in WNY as possible I have noted that you declined service last year to remove the ice damn because it was a chargeable service Ice damning is not covered under your workmanship warranty from Stockm*** In regards to your call to Scott H*** this year, I am showing that you are requesting removal of a ridge vent from an area of your home While you are no longer under warranty with Stockm***, this is not why we are refusing the service We do not recommend removal of the very system that is designed to allow warm, moist air to escape from the attic The trapping of this air will lead to more significant ice damns in the future While you feel that removing this vent is the correct course of action, we are bound to abide by NYS Building Code Your request does not comply with NYS Building Code.I hope this written explanation helps clear what we were unable to communicate verbally.Sincerely,Douglas M***, VP

Stockmohr entered into a contract on 8/7/2010 and installed a roof for the [redacted] on 9/14/2010.  The roof carried a 5 year labor warranty from Stockmohr.  This labor warranty expired in September of 2015.  Because the service call is after the expiration date of the labor...

warranty, a service charge is placed on the call.  Currently that charge is $125 plus NYS sales tax.  The customer decided to remove the snow and ice on their own after a conversation with [redacted] rather than pay for the service call (which, depending on the date and time of the call, could have been after the snow/ice melted).  Leaks resulting from ice dams are not a labor warranty issue or a manufacturer's issue.  While we would be happy to attempt to service the home, a service charge would apply.  Unfortunately, cape cod homes often have poor ventilation and original insulation which can result in above average ice conditions.  Stockmohr is not responsible for damage caused from ice dams.Documents available upon request.We request that this complaint be removed as the customer is filing a complaint outside of the warranty coverage period and refusing to pay a service charge for service.  Ice damming is not covered under a labor warranty from Stockmohr as per our contract with the homeowner, even during the original 5-year post-installation period.

Consumer called Revdex.com and indicated that Stockmohr had taken care of this and she was very pleased with the service.
