Tues., October 23, 2018, I purchased a car through bank financing from Mr. Car of Temple Hills. I placed 1,500.00 down on a 2015 ***. The next day on Wednesday, October 24, 2018 I was called and told I needed to sign another form and to come in to Mr. Car. Once I got to the location the team informed me I needed an oil change and they took the keys. Once they confiscated the keys they informed me the bank denied the loan due to bank statement and paystubs. They informed me they would like to place me with another lender but I refused. I then asked about my down payment which I was informed they are not returning. I informed the dealership of the "Spot Delivery Law" in Maryland which is also in my contract and which they also ignored and failed to obey by not returning my down payment. They said I submitted wrong documents so they are keeping my down payment because it costs them money to sell cars. I informed the manager I will be filing a complaint, she asked me was it worth it sense filing suit or complaint would cost me more than 1,500.00. This was an intimidation tactic. This company also called my insurance and had my insurance on the car cancelled.

*** came in to purchase a 2015 *** on Tuesday October 23, 2018. He supplied Bank Statements and Pay Stubs. He put $1500.00 Down on the vehicle. The next day when the bank responded back regarding the purchase, they stated that the pay stubs and bank statements were fraudulent. We called the customer to bring back the vehicle.
When the customer signed the paperwork he signed two forms that stated that the down payment was nonrefundable. One was on the down payment from that was attached with his payments and the other was on a separate form that stated if we were unable to get funding from the bank he will not receive his down payment back.
*** has gone to the bank and submitted charge backs on all of his down payments. We are currently still working on the situation.
