Review: after purchasing a chimney cap last year and a chimney fan this past year from mr chimney, when we used our outdoor fireplace over memorial day we noticed the damper is missing from this new-build 2013 fireplace. I contacted the company at the beginning of the summer asking about having the damper returned, and today, when doing filing with pictures of the new fireplace with its damper intact, I reached out again. I was surprised that the person who called back said no work had been done on the outdoor fireplace (not true) and that their workers maintain they did not misplace/take it (they are the only company who has worked on it). mostly the rude tone was not appreciated...i've spent thousands of dollars with this company and why am I treated rudely when I am only bringing up a work-related issue? and then hung up on? disappointing experience over a trivial matter really, can't imagine how a big problem is handled.Desired Settlement: I had reached out to get a replacement damper but I guess, after being mocked 'so you want us to buy you a new damper' and treated rudely, i'll be happier replacing the damper myself so I don't have to interact with them. lesson learned.
