This customer did indeed receive an estimate for our services for parking lotsAfter receiving two checks for $each, base layers of asphalt were applied to two of the lots, as discussed with the customer While performing these actions, the workers found that there were more serious
issues with the lots that needed to be addressed, i.edeeper hole depth, uneven base levels, etcIt was determined that the entire lots needed to be excavated and leveled This would have significantly increased the cost of the project We were unable to finish the job properly because of these issues and this was discussed with the customerThe remainder of our fee was, of course, not required since no more work could be done without further negotiations on price.To be clear: NO CONTRACT was ever signed for this projectOur estimate clearly states that additional fees would be assessed if necessaryThe customer was unwilling to pay anything more for the job He came to our office and beligerently demanded that we discontinue the jobs we were currently working on and finish his lots An argument ensued and he was asked to leave the premisesWe believe that the customer's inexperience with this line of work has resulted in an incorrect assumption of services to be rendered We have tried to work with him on finishing the job but his harassment has made that impossible and we have discontinued all contactThe customer has threatened to slander our company name and we have referred the matter to our attorney
