Complaint: ***
I am rejecting this response because:Liner was Merlin manufactured with short material using wrong dimensions submitted by PM Pools At installation Merlin submitted incorrect drawing back to me as proof that they constructed the liner with bad measurements. If someone gives you and undersized sock to wear: Will it feel right with proper tension? NO Will it look right to others ?MAYBE.Will it last long before your toe pokes thru? NO.That's kinda where we are.
Regards,
Richard Hancock

With respect, a liner is not a pair of socks and can not be used as a comparison. What [redacted] is requesting would result in a liner that would be way too big and would immediately wrinkle and never stay in the liner clip. This would be problematic from day one and would shorten the life expectancy of the liner by at least 50%. Again, this liner fits perfectly and nobody could expect a better measure on the liner that was supplied. PM Pools position is as follows, we did acknowledge the customer's concerns by trying to educate him on liner measurements and fits. He refused to listen to the facts. There is nothing that can be done to make the liner wrong. As again it would not fit from the day it was installed.

PM Pool Service’s liner team has 20 plus years of experience in liner measuring. [redacted] pool was properly measure for a custom fit Merlin Brand swimming pool liner. The customer states that the liner is 13” shorter than needed. The customer has no experience in liner measuring and...

installation; therefore his statement lacks the required experience to be justified. If the liner is 13” short than it would not fit into the pool. The liner is a perfect fit with no wrinkles and no stretching evident. After measurements are submitted to the manufacturer, the manufacturer in-turn manufactures the liner to the submitted specifications. Customer states that the liner pulled out of the installation track/clip while pool was filling. This is completely normal after liner is installed and pool is filling due to the age of the track/ clip, as that track/clip will expand after so many seasons of having a liner installed in it. This is why we offer customers the “liner-lock” option. It is a ridged plastic clip that installs into the same track as the liner to hold it into place. If the customer declines this, the liner may pullout while the pool is filling in which case we snap it back into place when the pool is filled. The weight of the water pulling down on the liner actually holds the liner in it’s clip. There is no undue stress or tension placed on the liner when this occurs. Liners are designed and manufactured to have a life span of approximately 8-10 years. The normal gaining process of a liner causes vinyl to stiffen and become brittle and lose it’s elasticity. Other factors that determine the normal aging process are the weather, sunlight, water chemistry and bather load. All of which are out of our control after the liner is installed and the pool us filled. The manufacturer pro-rates the warranty of the liner on a year to year basis. Pm Pool Service properly measured and installed [redacted] pool liner and will honor the warrantee issued by Merlin IndustriesJim W[redacted] has spoken with [redacted] via telephone multiple times after the installation was complete addressing these concerns and explaining the concepts contained herein.Attached/Uploaded please find the executed Estimate which includes the scope of work and warranty information.  As previously stated PM Pool Service offers no warranty on in-ground pool liners; we do however honor the manufacturer's warranty
