Last summer we had Mr Fix It repair a car amp. Within a week the wires melted, and almost caught fire. We then gave it back to him to repair again. He still has not returned the amp. He refuses to communicate either by telephone or text messaging after a lot of phone calls and text messaging. The product is worth $500.00. We absolutely can not get in contact with him.

This man steals your money. He tells you he can fix your TV, takes a cash deposit, and then never calls back, fixes the appliance, and basically goes MIA. Many people have reported the same thing. How is this man able to get away with this and still have a website? He needs to be shut down!

Review: I called Mr. Fix It of PA to come out and fix my Xbox 360 because the laser was getting stuck. When I called Mr.FixIt, he said that he could come out and fix it for $60 dollars and that he guaranteed his work for 30days. I also asked whether he accepted cash/check and he said both. When he arrived, he said that it would be $100 dollars. Mr.FixIt then opened the Xbox, moved the laser, which is something anybody can do and said it was fixed. I then started to write him a check, and MrFixIt demanded that it be paid in cash. So I paid him in cash, then 2 days later it broke again. I called Mr.FixIt again and MrFixtIt said that it was something wrong with the Xbox and nothing was going to fully repair it. MrFixIt then proceeded to say that he would come out again to take a look at it. After a week of MrFixIt not answering his phone, I called from a different number and he answered. He said that he called Microsoft and said that unless I send it to Microsoft for a repair, he could not fix it. I then asked for my money back, because he did not fix the problem, merely took my money and never returned my phone calls. MrFixIt then proceeded to tell me that "he is not playing games" and hung up on me and I have not heard from him since. My Xbox remains broken, Mr.FixIt has not returned my calls or emails. This man did not even tell me his first name, which is why I had to refer to "him" as MrFixItDesired Settlement: I would like to get my full 100.00 dollars back that was forced to pay in cash.

Review: On October 14, 2014 I called Mr Fit It to possible repair a plasma tv that quit working. Chris the owner came down the next day(October 15, 2014) and trouble shot the tv and giving me a estimate of between 350 and 400 dollars to fix . This cost was 75 to trouble shoot and if I oked the repairs he would take the 75 off of the bill. He said it needed a part to which he called a parts house and said if I could place in on my credit card it would come overnight at a cost of 223.79 which I did. He showed up on October 16, 2014 and could not fix tv and then said he would need 60 to my another board and this would fix it . He said he would show the next day and fix.I gave him 60 dollars more and thats the last I heard from him. He refuses to return calls ,e-mails or texts.Desired Settlement: I belive he ows me 75, 60 plus the 223.79 to whick part place will not take back because he installed it.

Review: Contractor([redacted]/Mr Fix It of PA) performed an in-home estimate for television repair at agreed upon price of $40 during the week of August 12th, 2013. The contractors terms were that if hired to perform the repair, the $40 would then be applied to the total repair bill. Contractor subsequently was hired to perform the repair and upon troubleshooting was paid an additional $40 to purchased the necessary components to complete the repair. The agreement was that the $80 paid to date would cover labor and materials to complete the repair, the receipt is dated August 14th, 2013. Contractor stated that the necessary parts would be ordered and he would contact me the following week(Week of August 19th, 2013) to return and install the parts thereby completing the repair. As of today, September 24th 2013(over 5 weeks from dated receipt) the contractor has made no contact. I have placed phone calls and sent emails weekly since then requesting an update on when the repair would be scheduled. I have been unable to make contact with the contractor and no follow up has been received despite numerous voicemail messages and emails. As of this week, complaints have been filed with local police, Revdex.com, and my attorney. Resolution is required.Desired Settlement: Contractor to return and complete the work which he has been paid to complete. If contractor does not perform the repairs I seek to recover all monies previously paid and reasonable fees to return television to previous condition as it was left in pieces by the contractor.

Response:

[To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, you must give us a reason why you are rejecting the response. If no reason is received your complaint will be closed Administratively Resolved]

Review: [redacted]

I am rejecting this response because: 1.) No monetary refund was received. 2.) The television was disassembled by the contractor and must be returned to its previous state; this was not addressed in the response. It is no fault of the customer that the contractor was unable to procure the necessary materials. I would consider an additional $100 reasonable to have a competent third party pick up the pieces, reassemble, and return the device to it's prior state.

Regards,

Review: On Tuesday, May 6, 2014 a [redacted] (Mr. Fix It) came to our house to repair a big screen TV. He told us before he came that he "knew" what the problem was + that he could "fix" it. He was at our home for about 1 1/2 hrs......said it would not give us any more problems. We gave him a check for $150.00 to cover his charges.....he cashed that check promptly that same day.HE GAVE US NO RECEIPT

.....altho we know that our cancelled check will suffice as a receipt of payment. When he + my husband turned on the TV while he ([redacted]) was still here, it "worked" FOR THAT TIME PERIOD.....but that was not unusual as our TV gives us problems sporadically, so having it show "OK" for a few minutes is not unusual. A few hours later when we turned on the TV for the night, THE SAME TV PROBLEMS WERE VERY VISIBLE.....the "problem" had NOT been repaired. We have called + called + left messages and have sent him an email.....he refuses to get back with us. We feel that he is taking money for a service he did not render......namely.....to "fix" our TV.Desired Settlement: He is taking monies for services that he really did not render. To us that is comparable to stealing. We hope you can help us with this problem. We have never ever had a repair man come to the house and perform a service and if there is/was a problem not answer to try to make ammends in some way!
