Mr. Good Lube

Review: I got an oil change at Mr. Good Lube in Freehold, NJ in September 2014. On Saturday October 4th, 2014, I went to start my car which is a 2006 Chevy Cobalt LS, and it was making a loud noise and shaking. I immediately turned it off and let it sit until Sunday when I called Chevy to inform them that I need to bring my car in immediately. My father-in-law then opened the hood of my car and notice the oil cap was left off and oil was leaked out everywhere and I had no oil left in my car. He went to put oil in my car so I can drive it to drop it off to Chevy in Freehold. I dropped it off to Chevy for them to do a diagnostic in which they discovered I had an internal engine failure due to lack of oil and dirty oil being put in my car. I contacted Mr. Good Lube on numerous occasions where they insisted they can do nothing for me and will do nothing for me. I am not without a car three weeks later and have been trying to get back and forth to school and work where I am a full-time person at both. Please help.Desired Settlement: I would like them to replace my vehicle with another one since my car was damaged and unable to operate due to their lack of responsibility.

Review: I brought my car to this business for an oil change. When they released my vehicle there were no brakes. I questioned what they did and they denied doing anything. My brakes worked prior to them taking my car. They released my car knowing I had no brakes after they took it. Told me I was leaking fluid. I went down the road and fearing an accident from not having brakes I managed to another shop where they informed me the brake line had recently been punctured. I explained I just had my oil changed minutes ago and he showed me the oil filter had not been replaced and the fluids were not topped off and was low. I went back and showed the kid the oil filter hadn't been replaced and he said sometimes they rust.Desired Settlement: I would like an investigation of this business as well as I have heard similar complaints.

Review: Brought my 1995 Hyundai Elantra to Mr. Good Lube for service and indicated that my driver's side brake light was not working. My automobile was serviced and I was told that the brake light had been repaired. Shortly thereafter I received a summons from Holmdel Township police for improper maintenance of lamps for my drivers side brake light.

I returned to Mr Good Lube and explained that I was just ticketed for the brake light that I thought they had just repaired and was told that they only replaced the bulb and now diagnosed the problem as a wiring issue. Asked why I had not been told this initially and I was told that they only replace bulbs. Asked for reimbursement for the cost of my summons and told to call customer service. After numerous attempts reached customer service, without satisfaction, who indicated the same.... that only replace bulbs. When asked why they were able to diagnose the problem now and not when they told me, the brake light had been repaired, there was no explanation other than the service technician has been in his employ for 16 years.Desired Settlement: $54.00 reimbursement.

I brought my Ford Edge in for an oil change on 1/16/2016 and then noticed a leak in my driveway. I then took my car to the Ford dealer on 2/18/16 (as opposed to bringing it back to Mr. Good Lube who apparently is unable to perform an oil change on a Ford to begin with) and Ford told me they used the wrong filter. When I went to Mr. Good Lube they of course took no responsibility for their actions.
