[redacted] IS COMPLAINING ABOUT THE CONCRETE APRON LIFTING. IT MAY HAVE LIFTED BUT NO MORE THAN 1/8TH OF AN INCH. IN NEW ENGLAND THAT IS NOT JUST COMMON IT IS PROBABLE . AT THIS POINT THERE IS NOT A PROBLEM WITH 1/8TH OF AN INCH MOVEMENT . I TRIED CONTACTING MRS.[redacted] THAT NIGHT AND WILL KEEP ON TRYING TO CONTACTING HER SO I CAN EXPLAIN TO HER IN PERSONConsumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)Mr Home was originally contacted in [redacted] when the lifting was at least two inches. when spring came there was melting and the concrete settled.., however we need to assure this will not happen again in winter of [redacted] was contacted on [redacted] by [redacted] and he claims he will come sometime next month [redacted] and dig some type of ditch for drainage. would like this case open until that is done and we get thru next ..I am still unsatisfied as to the astetics of the job.

Mold abatement in a basement and garage. Paid in full, said they would be back to finish two major areas. Almost 1 year, many calls: no completion. Two areas left to complete are:Buckled area in replaced floor.Bad patch job (covering a hole) in replaced floorArea in replaced floor that flexes down when you step on it.Dry wall still not up in the garage (insulation and studs showing).Desired SettlementCome and finish the job as contracted for and as promised, and in a professional manner.Business Response this is this the first time in hearing about this complaint but will contact [redacted] today.

I contracted with Mr. Home on 1/29/2012 to repair a water leak originating from my chimney. As of 12/31/2013 the problem is still not fixed.I contracted with Mr Home on 1/29/2012 to fix a water leak originating from my chimney. As of today, 1/29/2013 the repair is still not complete. Water is still leaking into the house.A check in the amount of [redacted] was paid and cashed by Mr Home on approximately February of 2012.The past two years has been characterized by several unsuccessful repairs. There have also ben multiple instances of "no shows" in which Mr Home did not arrive for scheduled appointments with no notice of cancellation.Desired SettlementAs the problem has never been fixed I am requesting a full refund of premium paid.Business Response Contact Name and Title: [redacted], [redacted]Contact Phone: XXX-XXX-XXXXyes mr [redacted] did have work done on his flashing in 2012 but we are not aware of any service needed on XX-XX-XX ?? We will contact him to determine his service needs at this time. Any time he has called service has been provided and his roof has been replaced around the chimney with rubber. If he has a leak it is most likely originating from his peak/gable but we will investigate upon contacting him.Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)Mr home did contact me in regards to this complaint. However, based on the 2 year history of not being able to resolve the issue combined with repeated no shows for service appointments I have lost confidence in their ability to provide a solution to the water leak. My request to resolve this issue is a full refund of premiums paid so I can work with another provider to fix the problem. Final Business Response we would be more than happy to show Mr [redacted] or meet him on site and take him up on the roof to document our work at which time we can show him the ridge vent issue or any ROOFING issues that do not pertain to the chimney.Final Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)I am extremely disappointed in the response from Mr Home. It contains multiple factual inaccuracies and shows a clear lack of accountability, understanding of the facts, or both. I'll focus on the facts that we agree upon. Mr Home has been to my house at least 4 times in the past two years and has not been able to fix the leaky roof that they committed to fix. Mr Home has not indicated to me the leak is originating from ridge vent. I am not sure how they would determine this as they have not been back to my house after the last "repair". I have paid them in excess of $3,000 for services and they have not have fixed the problem. I am requesting a full refund so I can work with a contractor who can provide a solution to my problem.

From the first day of installation this company was unprofessional and did poor quality work. After returning 3 times there is still cracks in the cement work they provided. Mr. Home [redacted] not honor their warranty and fix the cracks. Appointments have been made and cancelled and I still have cracks in the floor of my basement where they did the work. I also had a sup pump installed improperly, with the installation and the fact that after asking more then once I have never gotten the receipt for the sump pump they installed without this paperwork and the improper instalation I have no warranty with the company that makes the pump.Product_Or_Service: Basment waterproofing and instalation of sump pumpDesired SettlementI would either like a portion of my money back or I would like Mr. Home to fix the cracks in my floor and properly install my pump and provide me with the paperwork I need for my recordsBusiness Response Contact Name and Title: [redacted]Contact Phone: XXX-XXX-XXXXContact Email: [redacted]@charte.netthere seems to be two issues, #1 is cracks in the cement , we have been over three times to look at any cracks and this has been resolved long ago ? In fact two men went there last week again ?? As for her sump pump not being under warrant , this is not correct. Her pump is under a two yr warranty from MR HOME which her receipt is her receipt ?? So once again the pump is under warranty two yrs the manufactur only covers ONE year !! If she can find find any crack we would be more thn happy to fix ?? Consumer Response Mr. Home was hired to "water proof" my basement. After many small issues like cracking cement and shoddy workmanship that were addressed but still exist I now have found that there is much more important issue.I have water in my basement less then 6 months since the work was done. after I paid $3085. I still have water coming up from the ground into my basement in the area I paid to have waterproofed. around and under my furnace and water heater I fear this could also be dangerous and/or cause damage to the Heater or the furnace.I have no trust in the workmanship that has been done, how it has been done and the validity of the company to fix the problem. I have had appointments made and cancelled at the last minuet and had workmen show up at my door with out any appointment or phone call, this made me very nervous. I am a disabled women who lives alone and men showing up at my door without an appointment makes me uncomfortable.Product_Or_Service: Basement WaterproofingOrder_Number: noneAccount_Number: noneRefundI want the portion on the price that was paid for "waterproofing" $3085.00 refunded to me so that I can find a reputable company to fix my basement and not have to deal with this company anymore. I have no confidence that Mr. Home [redacted] do a good job and I fear I [redacted] have to call and deal with this problem over and over, as I have in the past few months.Final Business Response Hello, in regards to [redacted] I personally went to look at her complaint in which she complained about a damp floor in her basement. The area of her complaint was in an area waterproofed. She had no water but damp section. When I opened her dry well I did find it with water to the top of the lid. At this point I told [redacted] I would install a sump pump in the dry well at NO CHARGE !! The amount of water from the 5 inches of rain along with our large snow melt did max out the dry well so a no charge sump pump is being offered once again at no charge.Final Consumer Response At approximately 1:00 today Mr. [redacted] of "Mr. Home" arrived at my home. [redacted] had no appointment w/ me. After looking in my basement [redacted] sad that I didn't have ground water that my hot water heater was leaking. After opening up the bucket that is supposed to hold a pump and seeing it full of water Mr. [redacted] said that he been mistaken and that indeed there was ground water in that area of my basement. [redacted] suggested that his company (at no cost) put in another sump pump. After some back and forth when I told [redacted] I had no confidence that his company would properly water proof my basement. I told him that in my opinion the work had never been properly handled from the first visit to all of the "return visits" that followed.I now have two buckets for sump pumps one with a pump and one without. Both tops have been removed by [redacted] today and not put back in place, leaving more cement chips on my floor and two buckets of water with tops I can't figure out how to re-apply.I do not want "Mr. Home" returning to my home or doing anymore work in my basement. This visit only makes me more sure that this company is unprofessional and sloppy not to mention can not properly fix my problem. With spring rain coming I need to fix this big mess as quickly as possible.[redacted]

Mr. Home has charged us for services in the amount of $655.00, but has failed to properly and or timely complete the required work. On or about 9/13/14 Bill S. of Mr. Home, Inc. came to our property and provided a quote for rodent (mouse)removal; screen cleaning and repair to closet door. Thereafter, on or about the week of 9/22/14 Mr. Home, Inc. sent out two workers ([redacted] & [redacted])to do the agreed upon work: place 8 mouse traps and spray foam sill; repair closet door and wash and clean basement screens. [redacted] and [redacted] failed to properly clean the window screens and or repair the closet door. They were to return to complete their work within 30 days. Mr. Home, Inc., has canceled appointments and failed to keep appointments leaving us to wait on them to this day.Thirty days have lapsed and they've failed to follow up and the work remains uncompleted. In closing, We've paid $655.00 for 8 mouse traps and some foam sealant. It took [redacted] and [redacted] less than one hour to do the work they did. Our closet door remains without repair and Mr. Home, Inc., has yet to come back and remove the mouse traps as promised.Mr. Home, Inc., has been less than responsive to our telephone calls.Desired SettlementMr. Home, Inc., should perform the work they promised to do - in a timely manner. Failing that they should be required to provide a full refund of our $655.00 for their failings and for the inconveniences they've placed upon us.Business Response thank you for the information on this complaint, besides this notification of a complaint this is the first time we have heard of this complaint. This was a very small job in which some basement windows had there screens cleaned, some insulation foam was sprayed into the sill plate and some mouse traps were set. Upon completion the foreman reviewed all work with the homeowner at which time payment was made. The screen in question will continue to have leaves and lint from the dryer collect ! As for the traps they have all been set s I am not sure what the complaint is ?? As for a closet door not being tightened this was done But if the door needs to be looked at we will certainly look at it. If she wants the traps checked we will meet with her at her time that she wishes !! She can call me personally on my private cell phone if she is having any problem getting a time !! XXX-XXXX.

The owner showed up 30 min late for an estimate appointment and parked his [redacted] across my walkway and lawn. When my wife asked him to not park on our lawn he responded " where you should I park". We told him to park on the street like a normal person. After he moved his car I went outside and told him that I had changed my mind, that anyone who would park on a prospective customers lawn is not someone I want working on my house. He told me that I shouldn't worry about my lawn that it looks like crap.

+1

Continual failure to return phone calls in response to on-going complaints over new hatchway that still leaks. I don't think they intend to solve this problem and just continually put us off until the snows came!! Continually said a representative would call to come out to solve problem. New never received a call back. I will tell everyone I know of their poor service and their false TV commercials!!!!!!!!

mr home was hired to put on addition/pour concreat handicap ramp 2014 I told them they should have put in screen first or rebarb before they put down the concreat or it [redacted] crack like everything else they did to cut corners. I all ready had to send them a demand letter in 2014 right after there idea of completion to address several issues. Again I have called the [redacted] office since march 2015 and they do not answer the phone nor do they return my messeges. I send them another certified letter in april 2015 asking them to send some one to look at the concreat cracks because it [redacted] soon look worst than it was.I am disable and since day one this has taken its toll on my health. The job is under one year warrenty I would like to get them for breach of contract.Desired Settlementtake-out all the concreat repour the whole thing right with rebarb and screen or I get estimate from some one who knows what there doing and mr. home would pay them.Business Response Contact Name and Title: [redacted]Contact Phone: XXX-XXXXContact Email: [redacted]hello, we would be very interested in looking at [redacted] concrete issue. he simply needs to call our office and set a time to have it looked at. This does not nean it is covered but it certainly should be looked at. He just simply can not swear or yell at our office personal since our company policy is to not have any employee's treated in this manner.Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)I have called the office almost every day since [redacted] they do not answer the phone their answering machine will not return any of my calls. The formans number [redacted] change his number. In never used bad languge on phone to anyone because I have not connected to anyone.
