Belvidere Construction, in 2012, was hired to replace our concrete drive way, and to repair our garage. The drive way: made uneven, and is spalling.In summer 2012, our drive way was removed by Belvidere. In the week that followed, no work was done, and Belvidere could not find the designated workers. After an extended delay, the drive way was put in. The surface was finished with diagonal ridges and also 2 low areas.Spring 2013, the top surface of the concrete was washing off, cracking and spalling. Sept. / Oct. 2013, we wrote a complaint to Belvidere. The foreman checked the problem, and assured us, by phone, that the drive way would be redone in 2014.Through all of 2014, the work wasn't done. Late in 2014, Belvidere wrote us a contract, saying that the drive way would be replaced by the end of June 2015. That has not happened, and the company has not replied to our recent enquiries. Desired SettlementWe want the drive way replaced by the MIDDLE OF AUG. 2015. We also want to be contacted by Belvidere by July 17, before our 2 week out-of province vacation.There will be no charge for the replacement.Business Response The complainant was advised that driveway would be completed once a wall replacement was done on [redacted].Unfortunately the weather this year has caused many delays (the safety of our men is of most importance to us) At 8:15 am Thursday July 16th 2015,I was in contact with the complainants and have advised them, that we have just finished the wall and will be replacing the driveway while they are on holidays. We will be out of province for 2 weeks. Therefore, we have asked for the work to be done, after our return. We cannot be satisfied till we see the completed work.Final Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)[redacted] was clearly told not to do the driveway, while we were away. He was not entitled to bring a crew to our property till after our return. Further, he did not phone to talk it over, and he had the required phone number.We understand that we now have further delay, and we're waiting for the next chance. The company put the other job ahead of our job in the promised May - June 2015 period.Final Business Response Comments made last time are exactly the same as now.The conversation with [redacted] took place in the office and heard by Office Manager [redacted] and a family member of the company.

I had to have the foundation done on my home, and John Hunt there Project Manager was very helpful and professional when he came to my home to give me a quote. He was very patient with me asking many questions. The crew who actually worked on the house were really a bunch of nice guys and very polite and friendly.","pos-1

For each project, Belvidere, completed the job on time and in a very professional manner.
Very professional and a pleasure to work with. The project manager, John, answered all of our questions we had.
