The student was enrolled on March 7, 2017 for the driver's education course. Never saw or heard from the student for whatever reason until December of 2016.  Nine months later, I was contacted by a relative of the student whom I knew and asked if I could help her relative.  I reached...

out to the student and made two appointments for her.  During those appointments I informed the student that she could go online to make her appointments and that if she should have any problems with that, she should contact me by e-mail or phone.  The business telephone is forwarded to my cell phone so that students and parents alike can contact and get a live person instead of leaving a message on voicemail.  I never received any calls or emails from the student.  On February 10, 2017, the student cancelled a road lesson that she had made.  I then received an e-mail from the parent stating that she was withdrawing her daughter and sending her to another driving school.  The parent also requested copies of her daughter's classroom attendance and the parent certificate.  I responded to her request, and also forwarded the appropriate forms to the driving school, as well as, making copies for the parent.  The parent (mother) came into my driving school and received the requested paperwork.  The complainant  makes mention with regards to not having enough instructors, when in fact we have four.  Two of them were on vacation at the time and have since returned to work. The complainant requested a refund for the unused portion of the tuition and it states on our website "No Refunds" because the option was and is there for their daughter to finish her lessons.  We did not request that their daughter be withdrawn for the program.  They did not give us notice as to what they were doing so that we might be able to possibly correct the or help with the problem.  As a matter of fact, there was no communication other than the last e-mail transmission requesting paperwork.  Communication was the key that was never applied by the students parent to solve this problem.

I do agree communication was an issue as to the fact that mr [redacted] did not return my phone calls   To the point of which I asked a family member to help out.  He even told her he had not called me back because he didn't receive my payment which was not true.  I'm not sure why he didn't call me  back to discuss that.at that time I would have produced the copy of the check for 625$ that was cashed by mr [redacted] in march of 2016.  It is evident that he is not able to abide to his business promises .

As stated in my previous reply, communication was the problem.  I believe that this could have been resolved if contacted.  The complainant voluntarily, withdrew the student without any notice and as clearly stated on our website there are no refunds.  The complainant has the option of allowing her daughter to complete course. But, that requires communication.

I disagree with mr [redacted]s response. First of all my phone records indicate that I first called on September 20 at 2:05pm and received no call back. Wheather we waited 6 month or a year shouldn't have made a difference.  The fact he did not return my calls. Told my family member it was because we didn't pay him which was untrue.  Mr [redacted] personally told me his one driver was retired and in Florida.  He runs a business and is unable to forfill his dutys.  He states he has multiple staff at this time but this was not true during   my time there.  [redacted]'s appointment was not cancelled by her but was due to the fact we had a snow storm and he cancelled. Furthermore more I'm not made of money. So unless I was receiving the promised services why would I voluntarily pay another 450dollars to go elsewhere     the lack of communication comes from mr [redacted] and his inability to provide honest and trustworthy business ethics  lessons.  **
