Mr. Mac Reviews (3)

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.
Sincerely,

The customer bought the suit and indicated that he needed it for an interview. We altered the 2 pants in our tailor shop to generally acceptable standards, exactly the same way as we alter every other pant that we sell, using a blind hemmer that allows the hem to remain intact for years and doesn't...

show any stitching on the outside of the pant leg.Approximately two weeks later his wife, who was with him at the time of the sale and fitting, called and asked what our return policy was and I informed her that there were absolutely no returns on altered or worn clothing, which we have posted on a placard directly behind our service desk, but that we'd be happy to re-alter it if they were unhappy with the fit. She was very argumentative and kept siting her misunderstanding that our web site indicated that returns were acceptable, but that is for internet sales only for items that don't fit correctly and are unworn and still have the original tags on them. (refer to mrmac.com)I continued to reiterate that no refunds would be issued. She then said that the suit was somehow defective, and I told her I'd be happy to inspect it and make good on any defective garment if they would bring it in. A few days later, the gentleman brought the suit in and complained about the way we hem pants and I told him we'd redo the hems and use an alternate method without blind hemmer thread if that would make him happy. He then said he thought the suit was defective because it had gathered some lint and threads which we showed him came right off with a lint roller. We got the impression that he was unhappy with his decision to buy a solid black suit.We then refunded the price of the unworn pant and he just left the store leaving the suit behind saying he didn't want the suit. It is still hanging in the back room for him to retrieve as he wishes. It seemed very unreasonable for him to just walk away without "his" suit after our discussion. I'm sorry that he couldn't accept our posted policy on a suit that has proven to be a great performer over the years and had nothing wrong with it.
