Review: In July 2012, I requested a price from Mr. Move to move me from Algiers, La to O'Fallon, Mo. [redacted] gave me a price and I said I would get back. After receiving other quotes, I decided to go with Mr. Move. [redacted] came back and went through all my belongings and estimated 2 trucks. They promised delivery within 24 hours. On August 10th they sent their people to load the truck. However, all my belongings did not fit on one truck. They demanded another $2,700 for them to move the rest of my material. I argued and they eventually agreed to send another truck but I would not get my stuff for 5 days (at no extra cost to me). I agreed. They sent another truck, loaded it , and again guaranteed a speedy delivery. Then the trouble began. The first truck brought my belongings to O'Fallon but several items were broke (bookshelves, piano, stereo, doll house). My remaining belongings was not delivered for 8 weeks. I called and called. [redacted] said every day that he was trying to get it to me. On October 5th, he called to tell me he picked up a check for $12,000 from some people in English Turn that was moving to Atlanta. He said he would put my stuff on their truck and come to Missouri after Atlanta. On Monday the 8th, [redacted] called with "good news". He said he loaded all their stuff on 2 trucks and he was sending the 3rd truck to me "on them". When I received my belongings, they had stolen my new bike and helmet, and several outdoor cooking appliances. They refused to send me a check for my losses. I send two notices for an estimated $800 in losses.Desired Settlement: I want a refund for$800. Also, Mandeville Police asked Ireport this on the Revdex.com. I was waiting for my Algiers house to be sold before I wrote here.

Review: I contracted Mr.Move to move my property from Gonzales to Marrero, Louisiana. In the course of the company moving my belongings the movers damaged my washer, 2 dressers, bed frame, chairs and a table set. I called the next day and they refused to solve this matter by giving me the run around for weeks on end. I spoke to several people including [redacted] and [redacted] and everytime I would be given another name. The company then responded by saying they would send out a paper to collect for damages but it was never received by myself. I also complained that when my items were delivered to Marrero they locked the moving truck and refused to open it until they were paid in cash only. They refused to take a credit card or check and then told me they were going to take the truck back for the night so we then went to the closed bank and got the cash off of 5 different credit cards from the atm. INVOICE NUMBER 4352345234 JUNE 23, 2008 [redacted]Desired Settlement: $1265 total refund

Review: When I called to ask them to move 4 rooms of furniture, the woman ([redacted]) said it would cost about $110 and I could pay by check. Two men came with the truck. The big man refused to get out of the truck to help carry things, said he was the "truck arranger." The little guy tried, but took forever, so I and my 79-year old husband ended up carrying out about 60% of the things. When the truck was full, they said they were going to lunch & disappeared for 2 hours. They said they had gotten lost. The house to which we were moving was only one block from the old house. The truck was padlocked. Before they would open it to unload, the big man told me I had to give him $800 in cash. I told him the woman had said a check was ok, but he wouldn't listen. He threatened to leave with our things & said we'd never see them again. By then I was in tears and knew they were charging by the hour. So I finally gave in & withdrew the cash from the bank. They unloaded our things roughly, damaging several pieces of furniture. The last thing was a heavy refrigerator, which they refused to move & left on the sidewalk. It has recently come to my attention that they have done similar things to other people and are in criminal court in St. Tammany on charges of extortion.Desired Settlement: I don't know whether the company kept all our money or whether the big guy put some of it in his own pocket. Since they did little work, did it unprofessionally, caused damage to our furniture and great physical and psychological stress to my husband and myself, I think they should refund what they took from us and apologize. I am willing to let the damage go if they refund the money.

Review: I contracted Mr. Move to move my belongings from Gonzales to Gretna on May 28, 2008. The movers for the company damaged many of my pieces of furniture during the move. The items include my sofa that was ripped, my table that was scratched, bedroom dresser and night stands that were also scratched and a bed frame that was bent. The attitude of the workers were awful. When I called to report this , I was always given a different excuse and never was able to speak to the same person. I decided to give up after countless attempts to solve this matter. I was constantly lied to on every phone call..Desired Settlement: TOTAL AMOUNT $1195

Review: Hired company to move my furniture/business equipment from Metairie to Lafayette. I was quoted a price of $236.00 down and $118.00 per hour and est. of 7 hour move. They started at 8:30am and at 3:30pm they just hit Baton Rouge. They tried to turn this move into 15 plus hours. I refused. They turned their truck around and returned to Metairie demanding payment in full or I will not receive my stuff. This happen 1/23/13 and six months later I still do not have my furniture/business equipment. I received calls from them here and there asking if I am ready to pay to receive items at a price 3x as high. Beware!!! I still do not know if my items have been sold/stored/given away.Desired Settlement: Receiving my furniture and business equipment.
