Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: Reimbursement of costs to replace the walkway damaged/destroyed by MrMudd are still unaddressed MrMudd's business practices allow them to destroy a customer's walkway while onsite fixing a minor cosmetic/trip hazard, claim no liability, and then profit from charging their customers to completely replace the walkway that they destroyed MrMudd claims that side effects related to leveling may occur (cracking, etc) In this case, not only did they fail to level the walkway, they made the situation significantly worse, and stained areas of the walkway & driveway that were not related to the job (Photos provided previously.) They acknowledged that their tools were not functioning correctly, and it is unclear how much of the damage induced was related to malfunctioning tools vshuman negligence, etc MrMudd has stated on every occasion that we (the customer) chose to spend well over the price that they (MrMudd) had offered to replace the walkway for This is irrelevant We gave MrMudd the opportunity to address the issue at no cost MrMudd refused It was our right to then choose who should perform the repairs It should be noted that the we had previously offered to compromise, requesting reimbursement of only $of the $2350, roughly equal to MrMudd's cost to repair/replace the walkway MrMudd also refused to reimburse what would have been 'their' cost to fix Sincerely, [redacted]

Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: Reimbursement of $(the cost to repair/replace the front walkway minus MrMudd's original fee for leveling) is still unaddressed MrMudd appears to be a reputable contractor, and the company was referred us by others that had success with their concrete leveling process As MrMudd states, they believe they have a 97% success rate, but that doesn't mean they shouldn't stand behind their work, and/or come forward and make things right when mistakes occur There is a significant difference between a non-successful leveling/lift vsdestroying a customer's walkway What started as a small/tolerable cosmetic/minor trip hazard was turned into a completely non-tolerable situation MrMudd's process introduced a significant 'bump' in the middle of the walkway (ruining the aesthetics & water run-off), increased the slab mismatch by 3x (introducing a significant trip hazard), cracked/shattered the corner of the walkway, and left unremovable stains in other areas of the walkway/driveway MrMudd should not be allowed to profit by introducing significant damage to a customer's existing issue (worsening the situation), and then asking for more money to fix the new issues We did give MrMudd weeks to address the situation (at no additional cost) We then hired a contractor that we trusted to repair the damage (which required replacement of the walkway) MrMudd states that there was no prior communication This is incorrect Several emails were sent asking for the situation to addressed (at no additional cost) over the week period prior to us hiring another party to remedy the situation MrMudd exaggerated the pre-existing conditions of the walkway (which pictures can confirm), but none-the-less, his arguments are irrelevant Yes, there was existing minor settling, and MrMudd was hired to address/fix it The customer should not be responsible for MrMudd making the situation significantly worse Sincerely, [redacted]

Thank you for contacting Three Z’s Expedite LLC on behalf of
this matterIt saddens me to receive a complaint from Revdex.com
as well as a customerWe strive for excellent customer service and promptness
at Three Z’s Expedite LLCHowever, as a new business owner I understand
that
we may fall short of expectations in certain mattersFrom my understanding the
day we provided transportation for Ms*** and her son, I contacted Ms
*** over an hour before her appointment to notify that my driver was in
route to pick her upWhen my driver arrived he notified me that Ms*** did
not answer the doorI told the driver to wait there while I contacted Medical
Transportation Management (MTM) to inform them on the situation and receive
further instructionMTM told me that the decision to wait on the client or
tell my driver to leave was up to me.
After dispatching MTM, I called my driver back to find out if Ms***
had come outside since our conversation, he let me know that she did not
arriveI told my driver that he could leave and continue his route due to our
busy schedule.
I apologize for the inconvenience this situation may have caused
in regards to Ms*** son appointment but I could not afford to wait any
longer than the time allotted. Three Z’s

Complaint: [redacted]I am rejecting this response because:

Reimbursement of costs to replace the walkway damaged/destroyed by Mr. Mudd are still unaddressed.
Mr. Mudd's business practices allow them to destroy a customer's walkway while onsite fixing a minor cosmetic/trip hazard, claim no liability, and then profit from charging their customers to completely replace the walkway that they destroyed.
Mr. Mudd claims that side effects related to leveling may occur (cracking, etc).  In this case, not only did they fail to level the walkway, they made the situation significantly worse, and stained areas of the walkway & driveway that were not related to the job.  (Photos provided previously.)  They acknowledged that their tools were not functioning correctly, and it is unclear how much of the damage induced was related to malfunctioning tools vs. human negligence, etc.
Mr. Mudd has stated on every occasion that we (the customer) chose to spend well over the price that they (Mr. Mudd) had offered to replace the walkway for.  This is irrelevant.  We gave Mr. Mudd the opportunity to address the issue at no cost.  Mr. Mudd refused.  It was our right to then choose who should perform the repairs.  It should be noted that the we had previously offered to compromise, requesting reimbursement of only $1650 of the $2350, roughly equal to Mr. Mudd's cost to repair/replace the walkway.  Mr. Mudd also refused to reimburse what would have been 'their' cost to fix.
Sincerely,[redacted]

Complaint: [redacted]I am rejecting this response because:

Reimbursement of $2038 (the cost to repair/replace the front walkway minus Mr. Mudd's original fee for leveling) is still unaddressed.
Mr. Mudd appears to be a reputable contractor, and the company was  referred us by others that had success with their concrete leveling process.  As Mr. Mudd states, they believe they have a 97% success rate, but that doesn't mean they shouldn't stand behind their work, and/or come forward and make things right when mistakes occur.
There is a significant difference between a non-successful leveling/lift vs. destroying a customer's walkway.  What started as a small/tolerable cosmetic/minor trip hazard was turned into a completely non-tolerable situation.  Mr. Mudd's process introduced a significant 'bump' in the middle of the walkway (ruining the aesthetics & water run-off), increased the slab mismatch by 3x (introducing a significant trip hazard), cracked/shattered the corner of the walkway, and left unremovable stains in other areas of the walkway/driveway.
Mr. Mudd should not be allowed to profit by introducing significant damage to a customer's existing issue (worsening the situation), and then asking for more money to fix the new issues.  We did give Mr. Mudd 3 weeks to address the situation (at no additional cost).  We then hired a contractor that we trusted to repair the damage (which required replacement of the walkway).  Mr. Mudd states that there was no prior communication.  This is incorrect.  Several emails were sent asking for the situation to addressed (at no additional cost) over the 3 week period prior to us hiring another party to remedy the situation.
Mr. Mudd exaggerated the pre-existing conditions of the walkway (which pictures can confirm), but none-the-less, his arguments are irrelevant.  Yes, there was existing minor settling, and Mr. Mudd was hired to address/fix it.  The customer should not be responsible for Mr. Mudd making the situation significantly worse.

Sincerely,[redacted]

This customer hired us to fix a defective walkway. Although we do have a 97% success rate, we can’t always guarantee a successful lift for various reasons.
This particular walkway had large voids, and had settling through out. Including an almost 2 inch   drop where the walkway meets the...

front porch, already causing insufficient water run off. This causes concrete to continue to settle.
We attempted to fill the many voids, that were a result of previous contractors failure to provide adequate compaction to the base. Unfortunately in this case we were unable to achieve the lift and remove the trip hazard. We did not charge the customer for the attempted lift.
At the customers request I (Brian/owner) provided him with a bid to replace the walkway. Knowing that there is no possible way to perfectly match concrete that has been poured several years prior, I suggested pouring 24inch colored stamped bands that are broken up by regular broomed concrete. Jeff, the employee who originally did the lift explained this process and the reason behind it. As stated in the complaint filed, our bid was for $1650.
The customer was dissatisfied with that quote, and demanded that we replace the walkway at no charge. The walkway was defective to begin with. People don't hire us to fix concrete that does not have problems.
The customer decided to hire a contractor who charged him $700 more than we quoted, and with no prior communication, attempted to send us the bill. This is completely unreasonable. We are a reputable company with an A+ rating with the Revdex.com. Had he allowed us to replace his walkway he would be a lot more satisfied with the esthetics, and would have paid a lot less money.
