Better Business Bureau: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID 11427210, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.? For your reference, details of why I am rejecting this response appear below:I was in fact contacted by the general manager (***) However, his response to the Revdex.com is an outright lie.? I did take the vehicle to a different shop, where they stated the repairs that ***, [redacted] and MrMuffler tried to sell me were not at all neededTo satisfy my curiosity, I asked the second shop ( [redacted] ) what it would cost to make the repairs quoted by MrMuffler, had I needed themThey gave me a price of less than $(using the most expensive replacement parts they had)Which was less than half of MrMufflers quoted price.? After NOT getting the repairs done- because they were NOT needed, I took the vehicle to a third shop, (as [redacted] was not equipped to perform front end alignments) to get the front end alignment done, as this was the only work that actually needed to be done.? I also asked the mechanic at the third shop to check the parts in question by MrMuffler, essentially giving them an opportunity to tell me the parts were bad and needed replacementAfter inspecting said parts, the mechanic at the 3rd shop verified that "everything looked to be in good contrition" and that the repairs that Mr Muffler tried to high pressure sell, were in fact, Not needed.? [redacted] did try to "make things right" when he contacted me, by continuing to try to sell me the repairs - that I clearly never needed in the first place, at a discounted rate.? Regards, [redacted] ***?
