RE: Complaint
#***
We received the counter
offer from *** *** and she has also called our office directly
with this option. She stated if we
installed the supplied kitchen faucet she bought at no charge, she would
retract her complaint
As we stated in all our documentation, we are willing to
work with *** to resolve the issues at hand and stand behind our work and
reputation. We have given her
different written estimates for repair and restoration of the plumbing issues
within the home
Mechanically speaking here are the facts;
A new customer supplied faucet can be installed at no
charge.
Additional charges may apply if once removed the existing
plumbing is rotted or stripped and connectivity is not viable or connecting the
new faucet to existing pipes without repair will result in leaks of any sort
There will be no warranty on the faucet only on the install
The problem of low water pressure in the kitchen faucet will
return as the real problem is as we stated;
The cast iron existing pipes are older and degradedPieces
of the pipe flake off and get stuck in the filter of the faucet and clog it up
blocking the flow of water
We will contact *** with the estimate of repair, get the
proper signatures and coordinate the install of the customer supplied faucet

I have attached several documents in regards to the above claim.Mr***'s initial letter with deadlineMrRooter responseCopies of the onsite invoice as well as the computer generated copy as well.MrRooter terms and conditionsThere is ample documentation and signatures that Mr*** was aware
of what we were going to do and the pricing associated with this work. There are signatures from him in all the correct places.The first sentence stating no work was done is negated by the ample documentation we have in regards to his sewer line that is compromised. We did get the line open and left them an es***ate for additional repair should another back up occur due to the condition of the sewer line.Mr*** does not speak or understand english fluently so we did send our bi lingual technician out to ensure the communication would be more clear. Additionally, *** ***, *** ***, spoke with Mr***'s daughter on the phone. That communication was crystal clear.Mr*** never called or stated they are having any additional problems with the sewer line since completion of our work on 8/5/2014. When we arrived the entire line was clogged and compromised. We did offer to the daughter that we would come out and do another camera inspection at no charge to confirm our findings and reveal the condition of the sewer line. This has never been allowed for us to do. We did reply before 12/as Mr*** requested ( attached).At this time, legally we have done what we contracted to do with Mr*** as is signed and documented on his copy of the receipt. Additionally the terms and conditions clearly state our position of which Mr*** also has a copy. Mr*** had his work performed 8/5/and did not become more aggressive in his pursuit until 11/1/2014. Coincidentally an article was published on 10/28/for a different plumbing company that is in litigation for poor practices which may have prompted Mr***'s need to pursue our company without provocation or reasonable cause. We have also offered a courtesy camera inspection verbally to the daughter which has not been accepted. Our position remains that we have executed and completed our contract as written and agreed upon. We continue to be willing to complete a no charge video inspection if the sewer line is accessible and free of blockages.If you have any additional questions or concerns, please contact us.Regards,*** ***

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below
I am trying to work to resolve the matter with MrRooter plumbing. I am still very unhappy as I paid over $for a problem that wasn't fixed. Initially, I tried several times to reach them before contacting the Revdex.com but had not heard from them. I did recently tell them that if certain minor actions were performed, that I would retract the complaint. However, as of this time period, they are supposed to reply back to me and I am awaiting that reply

We dispatched a technician to the address in question on 1/14/2015. The original service was stated as"Low water pressure and no hot water in kitchen sink".Our findings were as follows;Cabling was attempted thru the lavatory sink drain with minimal success which may be due togalvanized pipe. Could...

only enter the pipe 1 foot. Tub drain cabling was reasonably successful. Cablewas able to go out about 16 feet and pulled a small mass of hair out along with soap sm. Cable alsohit a hard obstacle and requires additional cabling with reel not hand held cable unit. Both drains arenot vented which will cause the drain to be slow. The vent adds air into the line when it is draining sothat gravity can pull it down the drain efficiently. The lavatory faucet has excessive debris inside it andneeds to be replaced. Over a 3 hour period the bathroom sink and tub were cabled. The faucet wastaken apart to remove debris. This was charged as labor to the customer only. The total charges for thework done originally was $458.35Additionally, 2 estimates were created for additional work;Replace faucetPull vanity and open the wall to install 2 vents for proper performance. Repair of wall would have to bearranged by others. We did offer referrals for this work as well.Cable access to open drainThis was quoted at $551.89 with a partial credit to be applied from previous work when scheduled.A secondary option of $223.34 was offered if she supplies the faucet.We have not heard from the customer or their family since we have been on site. We made [redacted]aware of the fact that we do stand behind our work and are happy to come out and complete therepairs as were stated in her estimates that she received while we were on site. The estimates weredone while the technician was sitting in his truck as [redacted] observed.I spoke with [redacted] today (2/16) and she stated she will think it over and we will talk on Monday 3/2.At that time she will decide if she will allow us to complete the estimate as stated.Mr. Rooter has done the work as stated, received proper approvals not only from [redacted] but herparent/caregiver who was on site for part of the time. We have also agreed in writing to credit a portionof the previous work towards the repairs that are needed.
