Review: My elderly (90 years old) mother had a leak under her kitchen sink. She was charged $800 for at most a $200 job.All that was done was replace the pipe under the sink and put in a new inexpensive faucett.I have talked with other plumbers and they said it should not have cost over $200.They charged her almost her whole month's income for a simple plumbing job.My mother claims they never ever told her the (outrageous) cost until it was all fixed. My mother's name is [redacted] 20 [redacted] Lane, [redacted] CT XXXXX

They need to return the extra $600!They have refused to do so and I noticed others (one the internet) have thought they were crooks, too

During the February blizzard, we arrived at the customers home, assessed her leaking kitchen sink pipe & faucet, diagnosed the problem, explained the necessary repair, quoted the work, received a service authorization signature from the customer (BEFORE BEGINNING ANY WORK) which states the customer agrees to the quoted price and approves the service to be provided. The repair that was done was as follows: replaced 2 basket strainers, continuous waste trap $453.24 installed better kitchen faucet $338.28 *invoice states: customer had leaking faucet and leak under sink from trap - also installed new p trap, valves were bad under sink so as a courtesy to customer plumber replaced valves at no charge. Also, he gave our reduced "MEMBER RATE" as a courtesy because [redacted] is a Senior Citizen. Ms. [redacted] was fully aware of the issues with her sink once our plumber explained and was fully aware what the charges for repair would be when she signed the agreement. We are a "task pricing" company rather than a "per hour" charge. Our task pricing guide supplies the Standard Rate and the Member Rate (WHICH IS NORMALLY ONLY RECEIVED IF OUR CUSTOMER PURCHASES A CONTRACT). We pride ourselves on satisfying our customers with fair pricing and quality service. We followed all proper procedures by assessing the situation, explaining the repair & verbal quote, obtaining customer signature approval of work to be performed & pricing BEFORE beginning repair. Our customer, Ms. [redacted] was happy with our service and with charges/payment. It was not until her daughter, Ms. [redacted], asked mom about the charge, did we hear of any dissatisfaction.

Review: on 2/16 /15 I called Mr. Rooter to schedule an visit to fix frozen pipes. when the service man arrived the faucets had already thawed , but the drain was still frozen. service man informed me that he was not capable of fixing it. without doing the work ,he told me that to pay $175. I paid him as required. He signed the invoice stating that the work was done. I am a senior on fixed income and $175 is a lot of money for me. Please inform me if I have any recourse for reimbursement of some kind. Thank you.[redacted]Desired Settlement: reimbursement
