Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me

As far as I know after several conversations with Mr Jenkins, he finally got us a statement from the BMW dealer, and we refunded what he requested

Ken S[redacted] at Kost explained that the consumer came in July 27 for a transmission flush on 2007 Chrysler Minivan. Due to contradictions in story (claims thousands of dollars of work, but Kost records show no charge for the flush) there is nothing to be resolved. When the consumer spoke with Ken...

S[redacted] a different vehicle was mentioned. Ken asked for documentation. If the consumer can provide documentation/records of the transaction, it can be looked into further.

ID# [redacted] To whom it my concern,March 19, 2016, Ms. Rartno called Newel! Plumbing and Heating, requesting information for a new kitchen faucet. She explained that her faucet was getting old and was leaking. As all calls are taken at Newell's, we asked Ms. [redacted] what type of kitchen faucet she...

had and what type she was looking for. She said she was looking for a price on a single handle faucet with a pull out sprayer. At that point we told Ms. [redacted] that we would check with our vendors and get a price on a new faucet for her. Newell's received pricing on three different faucets, and called Ms. [redacted] back with the options and pricing of each. At that point her decision was made on ordering a new faucet, and she was aware of the price. Once the new faucet arrived, we called the homeowner to set up an appointment to install her new faucet. On May 12, 2016, Newell's sent a technician out to Ms. [redacted]'s to install the new kitchen faucet, two new faucet supply lines, and two shut off valves on the sink. Ms. [redacted] also asked that her toilet be repaired, while our tech was there. The total bill for that day including time and materials was $319.24. Materials' including the new faucet was $199,24 and the labor was $120.00. Once the tech completed the install of the new faucet and turned the water back on, he found that the faucet was still dripping. At that point he figured the water pressure was high, but he didn't have the gauge to check the water pressure on his van at that time. The homeowner then asked if that was something the water company does, meaning do they come and check the pressure. Newell's tech then replied stating he is not sure if they check that, but Newell's can, I just don't have that gauge on my van. At that point the tech collected for the bill for the day. Upon him leaving, Ms. [redacted] called the water company stating Newell's referred her to them, which was never mentioned to herby Newell's technician.May 13, 2016 Ms. [redacted] called Newell's back after talking to the water company stating we should have checked the pressure. To make things right, we had another tech in her area at that day, which had the correct pressure gauge on his van. He stopped over to see what he could do for her. He checked the water pressure found that it was high and told her we recommend installing a water pressure reducing valve. Before leaving, the tech adjusted the water pressure by the meter and by theshut off valves under the kitchen sink to stop the dripping for the time being, until she decided if she wanted that valve. We did not charge for work done on that day.May 16, 2016 Ms. [redacted] called, this time stating she had no water. This time we sent both technicians that had previously been to her house. They found that Ms. [redacted] had no water at the faucet, and asked if something had happened and she said no, I turned the valves down under the sink and didn't know how to turn them back on. We did not charge for this visit as well.Upon receiving the multiple calls from Ms. [redacted], the owners of Newell's told her that they would deduct an hour off of the work done at her house, since she was unsatisfied with the work done.It was also explained to her that the water pressure wasn't check before installing the new faucet, because the homeowner wasn't having any issues with other faucets in the house; If other faucets in the house were having the same issues, that would have been checked. Since the first call from Ms. [redacted] was to install a new faucet since her existing one was leaking and old, that is what out technician was sent out to do.As for the AARP article statement Ms. [redacted] read about not paying up front, technically means the job or work to be done has been priced out already and is paid in completely before any work is done. And for the comment about never pay a plumber by the hour, that is an opinion. Companies choose either to charge customers for time and material, or to just charge a flat rate for the type of job that is done; both of which labor are figured into the equation. Both ways the customer is paying for the time it takes to complete the work. As for Newell's we charge the customer for the time and materials for the work being done, and if an estimate or bid is requested, we honor that price. Neweli's collects from the homeowner once the work is completed.Thank YouNewell's Plumbing & Heating Inc.

Review: I had bought a new rim and just went in for them to remove the tire from the old rim and put it on the new rim and put it on my car. When it came timef or my check out they told me my tires were 7/32 when I just had it in the shop 3 days prior and got 2 brand new tires. The other location rated 2 new tires and 2 at 9. Mr. Tire was trying to get me to buy some new tires that I did not need. Then they told me that I need a new alignment when it was aligned less then 6m onths prior. When I told the guy this he said oh well then you shoudl be good. He also told me one of my fluids was low and it was going to cost almost $200 to flush and refill it. I took it to another shop after this and they told me my fluids were fine. After I left I called Mr. Tire customer service line and the lady couldn't believe it and said she was going to contact the [redacted]. He called me and said he would look into it but it's been over a week and I still have not heard anything back.Desired Settlement: I wanted to Revdex.com know so that this doesn't happen to any other clients. Not alot of people know about cars and think when they go to a shop they are being told the truth not some lie.

Review: I dropped My car off to Mr. Tire on 8/21/14 to change front brakes, they phoned me at work to tell me I needed front brakes and rotors and very soon that I would need back brakes, I asked for a price and he said 374.00 and that's with 100.00 off to change the front brakes and rotors, I told him that mr. tire told me a few months ago that I would need front brakes soon, not just yet, but soon, now, how is it that now I need rotors as well as front and maybe back brakes, I do know what it feels like when you need your rotors replaced and my car did not need the rotors replaced. I told them that I will take my care else where that is too much for me adn I don't think I need rotors and low and behold on 8/23/14 I had my front brakes repaired and I said to do the back while your at it ( 75% cheaper than mr. tire's price)and they said I didn't need my rotors replaced. Ive taken my vehicles to mr. tire for 3 years now and have never felt like they were ripping me off til now, I will not recommend them and they just lost me getting tires, inspections, oil changes and referrals. I think there must be new management, I noticed different people working.I am upset that he tried to take advantage of me, thinking I knew nothing about cars, he should know that there are many woman that know something or know someone that knows something about cars there are too many people trying to take advantage.thank you [redacted]Desired Settlement: no settlement, just a complaint.

Response:

Revdex.com spoke with [redacted] from the business. he said that the recommendation for this vehicle was the rotors as well as the pads. the customer was not satisfied with their diagnostic and elected to take the car elsewhere to be served. The business felt that the recommendation was correct and that most shops will do both parts at once if they are low and the pads were below spec.

Response:

I have reviewed the offer made by the business in reference to complaint ID[redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

[Provide details of why you are not satisfied with this resolution.]

Regards,

I do not agree with their determination of the process, I was told the rotors needed replacing and in fact they did not need replacing and I was there to replace the brake pads; I agree to the brakes needing replaced, it was the rotors that did not need replacing, you did not recommend!

Review: Purchased two (2) tires for my Honda CRV. My Honda is approximately four months old. I hit a curb 0n 10/21/2103, and took my car into the [redacted] Auto Service Center on [redacted] Street.I was then instructed to purchase two (2) tires by a [redacted], the Manager. He stated that "whenever your auto has a wheel drive you have to replace both tires". He further stated that "if not it will ruin the transmission". Both of these claims have been authenticated by neighbors, mechanics and the Honda dealership as being patently false. The other tire is in perfect condition, and was cleared as so, by none other than **. [redacted] himself.-----Cost of two (2) tires $317.98 (cost of one tire $1568.99)Desired Settlement: I want the price of one tire completely refunded and a written apology.

Review: Faulty repair work perform. Damage to car, wheels and tired occurred while performing workDesired Settlement: replace damaged rims, refund some of money

Review: I went in to have my front tires mounted and balanced. They did the job well, but when I got home and looked to see what they had done with the donut tire that was on the front, I found something broken. I have a 1996 [redacted], and under my hatch there is a privacy cover that flips up so that people cant see what you have back there. The donut goes behind the side panel of the hatch so its out of sight and the privacy cover is hinged on each side of those panels. It seems that whoever put the donut back couldn't figure out how to get the privacy cover off, so they just ripped it off. Its snapped on both sides now. I called the shop after seeing this and they acted like they could care less. Whoever answered the phone apparently asked the person if they broke anything and they said no. I told them that this was definitely done by them and they had no response. I told the guy on the phone that the mechanic was lying and that because of the dishonesty, although I enjoy having my car serviced there, I wouldn't come back. His response was simply "i'm sorry you feel that way." His complete lack of caring and inability to take the situation seriously really made me feel not valued as a customer.Desired Settlement: At first I simply wanted an apology, but since they refused to take credit for the damage, I would appreciate it if they would refund my $50 I paid them for the service.

Response:

We certainly strive to perform quality work always. In this situation the customer brought us two used tires to mount on tne front, the tires and original front tire with wheel were sitting in the trunk. The mini spare had already been taken out. Our tech performed the work and laid the mini spare and tools in the trunk. He feels the snaps were still in tact when he finished since he didn't even now where everything was originally he merely set them in there. However [redacted] feels we damaged them putting it back in {possible] I will accept partial responsibility and refund $25. Please advise if this is acceptable.

Review: I took my 2004 745li bmw to get a wheel aligment and balance they told me I needed a control arm do do my wheel aligment and balance so I said go ahead my car started making a noise so I took it back they said they had to make some adjustments well the noise got worse so I took it 2 bmw they stated that the wrong part was on my car and it made another part go bad due to the 1st wrong part put on my carDesired Settlement: I would like to have my car repaired or the 1911.10 that it will cost 2 repair my car now

Review: I purchased two tires at this location. I purchased a road hazard warranty. I encountered a road hazard and presented my tire for a claim. The manager on duty refused to honor the terms of the warranty. She also attempted to interpret the terms of the warranty contract in order to not satisfy the claim. She indicated that the general manager would contact me regarding my claim. No contact was made.Desired Settlement: My tire still has half of the remaining tread as measured by an independent repair shop and therefore should be replaced at no more than half of the original price. The tire should be replaced for free for my inconvenience.

Review: ON 02/14/2015 I took my 2006 Hyundai Tucson in for rear rotors and pads (both sides). There was no squeaking or pulling at the time. But Mr. Tire stated that this needed to be done. They charged me over $600.00 to do this work. When I left that day my rear passenger side was squeaking. I did not take it back quickly, hoping the squeak would stop.On 4/16/2015 I took my Tucson back in for the squeak. They stated that my right rear Caliper was the issue and need to be replace. The quote I was handed was for 364.72 for the right side. Both sides were quoted at $605.39. I had no issue with this until they worked on my rear brakes. When I was in there on the 16th of April they did not take the tire off to inspect the brakes or caliper, they just spun the tire. If they had taken the tire off I might be more apt to believe what they said. I believe they did something incorrect when they replaced my rotors and brake pads back in February.I have since gone on line and contacted other garages/mechanics. Everything points to over charging and unsatisfactory work. Here is what I found for online for prices and what I was they want to charge to replace my rear calipers for my Tucson.Rear Calipers NAPA $73.99 each Advanced Auto $65.99-80.99 each.Quote from Mr Tire $161.25 each caliper, for a total of $605.39 (to change both sides, $364.72 for one side only)Quote from Winner Hyundai Dover to change both rear Calipers $465.62I understand they need to make a profit, but too double the price is a bit much. Plus they get discount from the parts supplier and would have gotten a lower price then I found.Desired Settlement: for them to admit they overcharged for the work they did and on the quote. A refund would be nice but don't expect them to even admit they did anything wrong.Over charging should not be a practice for this company.

Review: On June 27,2014 I requested a price match adjustment of 53.68.

I found a lower price for the tires we purchased of 13.42 per tire. I can not the customer service agent to respond to my requests.Desired Settlement: I feel I am due a refund of 53.68.

Review: I took a vehicle for brake inspection upon hearing a noise from the rear brake area. They advised me that all part where completely unrepairable and had to be replaced. I took for a 2nd opinion and 3rd and 4th opinions and all other parties agree brakes are fine and need no work what so ever. Carl king still insists there is a problem with the brakes and they need an overhaul.Desired Settlement: That they will stop trying to scam or defraud any customer. They have many complaints locally and I believe the solution is to investigate and get rid of those involved in dishonest/fraudulent practices.
