I am so glad I found Mr. Tradesmen. Michael is extremely professional, and very skilled. He has done several jobs for me such as kitchen cabinet repairs, replacing my garbage disposal and repaired my leaky bath/shower. But the main job he did was installing a new water heater and water softener. He went above and beyond what he needed to do. I have shiny new pipes as well. He is very thorough in explaining everything he does at every step of the way. A lot of stuff I didn't understand, but he explained anyway! He showed me videos of what he was talking about. I looked up some of the things he explained, and I could tell he absolutely knew what he was talking about. He even actually cut open the old water heater to prove to me what he was saying about the damage in the pipes and water line. He did not cut corners on all the products/parts he used either, and what he charged me for labor and parts was very reasonable. He also cares for Veteran's, as my husband is Retired Army. That is very important for me. I would highly recommend him to anyone! I fell like he is part of the family, and he will be my Home Repairman forever! I know I can expect great things from him in the future.

Outstandingly professional customer service and technical skills. Rates are more than competitive, and less than the superb work is worth. No one else will get my business.

Thank you Mr. B we always appreciate feedback, thank you for letting us serve you and we look forward to future projects!

Unprofessional and Shoddy workmanship regarding new stair railings. Deemed now unsafe and unlivable.
we are submitting this to formally document a complaint against Mr.Tradesmen as we are disappointed with the professionalism/business practices. On April 26, 2019 myself and my Husband, ***, met with *** to obtain an estimate for a new railing system and two baby gates to be installed at our home on *** assured us that this was an easy task for him and that it would be completed by the Thursday, May 2nd dead line - we engaged in a verbal agreement at that point. *** never discussed a "ready-made" system with us at any time during the discussion. *** started the work on Monday, April 29th and each day following he asked for an extra day to keep working. We feel we were very accommodating. However, the quality of workmanship which is advertised in the Mr. Tradesman online presence is not represented in this project and it is our opinion that the work looks very sloppy. To begin, the baby gate at the top of the stairs completely detached from the wall within the first 24 hours of installation. The bolsters and spindles are not secure. the spindles are loose and some of the bolsters are not even glued and are easily moved up and down the spindles. The hand railing has something sharp protruding from its end. This is a major safety concern seeing as we have two small children in the home! The railing does not have a varnish/protectant applied over the stain and is rough and tacky feeling to the touch. Aside from not being aesthetically pleasing, the raw wood poses risk for splinters. The end of the hand rails are seemingly raw cut and were not sanded down leaving the surface very rough and also cause concern for potential cuts and splinters. the tops of the posts that are white are not aligned properly and look crooked. The paint is also already chipped. There are exposed nails in the tops of the posts which do not look proper. We are concerned about the baby gates - the lower level gate is screwed into the wall and we would like assurances that it's been screwed into a stud rather than just screwed into the drywall and the gate on the upper level does not appear secure as only half of the gate is screwed into a piece of wood. The stain all together is very messy and uneven. Some of the wood has no stain at all. There is stain all over our white trim and our grey walls that were just painted prior to the job being started. A light coating of saw dust covers entire house and there are wood chips in the lying on the floor in corners. A few days into the job, *** specifically asked if the sawdust/mess would be cleaned up and *** assured him that this would be cleaned after the job was completed, but it was not. A large amount of stain was spilled in garage. White paint on our black top drive way.Although we agreed the entire job would be completed by Thursday- when it was not completed on that date *** had a conversation with *** requesting one more day to complete the job stating he could have it done prior to us arriving home from work on Friday, the 3rd. *** spoke with *** again on Friday at which point *** stated he did not finish the job because he was forced to leave early as his wife had been hospitalized. He then stated he would not be able to work on the project on Saturday because of cold/rainy weather and requested that we allow him to finish the job on Sunday, stating it would be complete by 6pm - we agreed. We decided it would be a more efficient work environment for *** if we were not in our home on Sunday and took our children and 2 dogs out for the day. We returned home around 6:30pm on Sunday evening to find him still working - he appeared to be rushing/scrambling through the work. We gave him extra time all day monday. Monday I returned to our home to find and a member of ***'s crew smoking a cigarette in the open doorway of our home. I found that to be highly offensive and inappropriate. after complaining he is now hostile with us.

Desired Outcome

we have now submitted a claim through his insurance. we would like our money back and the job finished correctly by another company. the work has now been deemed unsafe and unlivable. this is a huge liability for everyone involved. we have a 1 year old and 4 year old. this is unacceptable.

Mr. Tradesmen Home Improvements & Repairs Response • May 17, 2019

We have attempted to reach out to the above stated consumers regarding the project that was UNFINISHED. Our correspondence was left without any response from either party however the very same day we received a notice from our insurance company that there was a claim being processed. Our attempts at reaching out to resolve the issue and scheduling a day to return to FINISH the job that our technicians were not able to complete along with a discount which was offered the day that our technicians were ordered to leave the premises were left unacknowledged. Any and all efforts to resolve the matter as a business and as professionals has left us with no alternative than to seek amount still owning for the project that we have been unable to complete, as they have made no effort what so ever to speak with us or to resolve the issue and wish to instead file a claim for insurance money. There will be no return of the deposit made by above party as stated in our contract the consumer has the right to cancellation of any project within a period of 72 hours that was signed by above party. Any deposit made for above project after a period of 72 hours is non refundable and by signing our agreement above persons agreed that after 72 hours period any payments or deposits made would be forfeit should any issue arise. Unfortunately because no response to our offering of a resolution was acknowledged we are forced to pursue legal advice on the matter including but not limited to counter complaints of defamation of character and loss of future revenue.

We were told by *** and the crew member that was smoking in our home that this was the finished product (when I arrived at my home on 5/6 after work I confirmed this with the worker verbally). I called *** directly after I saw everything and that's when I started to voice my concerns. He started to get hostile with me. He then stated that he would discount but I needed to pay right away that night or no discount. Why would he be sending out a final invoice for us to pay him if it was not complete? that makes zero sense. Why did *** say everything was okay with the timeline when it wasn't? why say the job was finished and final invoice sent if it wasn't?? We are truly confused here. He always told us that it wasn't a problem. We sent him a text that evening stating we were dissatisfied with the work (5/6) after we got confirmation that he was not going to fix what was wrong (through emails) we then called his insurance company on 5/8. We did not call his insurance the same day like they are claiming. The insurance company told them not to contact us any longer. We gave them the chance to rectify this but they did not. they wanted us to let them into our home for 8 hours to fix the things they are saying aren't "finished" and that we were to pay them before the 8 hour shift was complete. after further investigation from another contractor this railing system is not up to code and wiggles from the wall. The contractors exact words "all it would take is one bump into this for it to fall". The next day the insurance adjuster came out to examine it and he agreed with the other contractor. This is NOT SAFE. Any cosmetics that needs fixed will not make this safe. It needs completely torn out and re done by someone more skilled and knowledgeable. We have every right to make a complaint and have no way defer-mated their character..we truly just want our funds back to re higher someone asap. we have to live with this liability until this is fixed.

Mr. Tradesmen Home Improvements & Repairs Response • May 22, 2019

As previously stated in both emails and in response to the Revdex.com in the original email sent by the consumer there were "cosmetic" issues that they listed off in their original letter sent to us the day after our attempt at resolving the issue went unanswered. Our effort to correct the "cosmetic" issues stated in the email which is attached in the file were the only issues that we were made aware of by either consumer. At no point in time were there any complaints made about the safety or security of the system installed until our insurance company was involved which the consumer did place a claim to the very next day 5/7 without any response to our attempt at resolving the issue were made. When our technician spoke with the consumer on 5/6 a threat of non payment was voiced before any concerns, stating that there was a "stranger" smoking in the home, which was one of our employees whom had been on the job since day one and had met both consumers at the start of the project and was smoking in front of the home not inside. Of course as a smoke free company the employee has been dealt with and we have apologized to the consumer for the lapse of professionalism on our employees part. As our employees are not the lead or the manager of the project any concerns or questions should be directed to the lead technician or office manager. At no point was any effort made on the part of the consumer to contact the office or to speak with the owner of the business, an angry phone call to the technician was the only contact made. In response to the issue the technician offered a discount on the remaining balance stating that it was not his say if they would actually get the discount without following proper protocol with a final walk through and a signing of the final invoice which would have given any corrections or further work an opportunity to be discussed and scheduled. It was not until our insurance company contacted us almost a week later that we were told that our attempts at resolving the issue via email to the consumer, was stated to our insurance company that our emails had been in harassment only and that harassment had ensued. At this point in time there is not a possibility of refunding any of the deposit made towards the project as the materials purchased for the project are installed and can not be returned, as previously stated the consumer has a period of 72 hours to cancel for any reason after the estimate is signed. Because no issues had arisen up until it was time to do a final walk through to give opportunity to discuss any and all concerns and settle the balance remaining, any and all deposits and or payments made are non-refundable as per our signed agreement with consumer. As the consumer has stated in the last email received they do not wish for the company to resolve any issues with the system that was installed and partially finish. They are requesting for a new company to come in and replace the existing installed system. As a company our hands are tied as the situation escalated from a something that could have been resolved quickly and without further expense to a claim brought forth with our insurance company and placing the reputation of the business on the line. The time, and expense spent dealing with the situation the only thing we can offer is to dissolve the remaining balance owed by the consumers and mark it as a loss to the company. Because the consumer gave no opportunity for us to resolve the issue without involving 3rd parties there is nothing more we can offer or do as a business. Defamation of the business was made on a google review made by the wife of the consumer, because the issue at hand is not resolved any and all public statements including but not limited to any statements of unprofessionalism, incorrect information, or any other social media platforms concerning the company or its affiliates with inaccurate, degrading, slandering, or malicious gossip will be recorded and if necessary used against consumer until the issue is resolved, unless further action is necessary after a resolution has been reached.

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
It is clear that this company does not want to take responsibility here. Fabricating things to try and bring them into a better light. the fact of the matter is, that I was left with a completely unprofessional experience and terrible work. they decide their own reputation with the quality or lack there of, work represented by them. I wouldn't be here today if it was the opposite. they would rather victim blame us the consumer and make it seem like we are scamming them. the photos speak for themselves. we've given several chances. we were first worried about the cosmetic damage and later learned they would not agree to fix everything they did wrong. we had no choice but to take further action. upon the further action is when we found out how unsafe this actually is. would you let someone in your home who has put you through this and then to find out they had no idea what they were doing? that wouldn't be very smart of us. you've become untrustworthy. so now your saying we contacted insurance on a different day? I even have phone records of when I called. I never met the man that was smoking inside the door way attempting to finish things up. why lie about that? you say you stand by your work, but what we were left with is not usable. so if you do work that takes longer than 72 hours you don't stand by that? Why does a company want all of the compensation prior to work being completed? huge red flags were shown all over them. so now were out that money because you didn't know what you were doing? that is completely unfair and disappointing that someone would conduct their business like that. anyone can see in the photos posted of the work we were left with, that this is completely unacceptable and down right appalling. How are we harassing but then they state we never respond to them? as stated before we have every right to give reviews. I believe actual facts are being construed as slander. we have stayed completely in our legal rights and limitations. I don't want this happening to anyone else. so very disappointing in the lack of professionalism this company has shown. this is taking up so much time and stress. per our legal advice we cannot have this even worked on until this is done. i'm not going to keep going back and forth arguing, with obviously no resolution other than their benefit. We want our money back for something we paid for that is not correct and unusable!!

Today we had Mr. Tradesmen repair our closet and rod. Now our closet is in better shape than its ever been. In a few short hours the work was all done. He cleaned up after he was done, it looks so good. They were very pleasant to work with, had no problems with this business. I have made plans for them to come back and do some work. They were professional, and extremely knowledgeable of their work as well.

Thank you Tammy! We appreciate your business and are so happy to have a continuous working relationship.

I had searched online for repairmen to put up some shutters we had bought to replace on our older 2- story home. I had actually called another business before calling Mr. Tradesmen.....THANK GOD they never answered!!!!!! Spoke with Raquel who assured me that they could handle the job and that Michael from the company would be out for the free estimate the NEXT DAY!!!. Michael showed up promptly and and described everything in great detail, and the best course of action. We decided to go with Mr. Tradesmen for the work and Michael was able to come out the very NEXT DAY!!!! He got *** to work with taking the old shutters down, weatherizing previous holes and putting new shutters up securely. He even cleaned some paint(previous owner mistake) that had bled onto the house from the old shutters. Pricing was very fair and sooooo WORTH IT!!!! We are DEFINITELY using Mr. Tradesmen again very soon, cannot say enough about this company.
