Review: On June **, 2013, at appx 6pm, my husband and I went to [redacted], a wine store, to purchase 1 bottle of red wine. The wine was $21.75. I attempted to pay for the wine with my Western Union prepaid Visa card, but the charge was declined. I was surprised, as I knew that I had sufficient funds on this card, so [redacted]'s salesperson tried to swipe my card two more times. Finally, after the third try, all showing "declined" on [redacted]'s register (which I did not see) my husband used his Western Union prepaid Visa card, and the charge went through for $21.75.I found out the next day that not only was my husband's card charged the appropriate amount of $21.75, but my card was charged $21.75 three times, totaling $65.25 on my card!I called [redacted], they said the charge never went through on their end. I emailed them, they investigated, told me that their bank never paid them for that $65.25, as it never went through.I called my credit card as well, of course, and they assured me, (I must have called them 5 or more times and spoken to supervisors each time) that the charge indeed did go through, and that my visa was debited by [redacted] for $65.25.Since it is a prepaid visa, the dispute process doesn't work in the same fair fashion as would another card. To date, I am unable to resolve this issue with either party.I am convinced that it is [redacted], the merchant, who has my $65.25, as they are a small store, and a large credit card company would not give me incorrect information.FYI, my western union card info is:[redacted] # [redacted] expiration 3/2015the code on the back of the card is [redacted]their phone number is [redacted] I am not filing a complaint against my credit card, just [redacted].Thank you for your assistance.I have not used my card since as I am afraid to replenish it.Sincerely,[redacted]Desired Settlement: $65.75 back onto my credit card above plus $25.00 extra in the form of a bottle of wine from [redacted] or store credit for my many phone calls and emails and time to resolve this matter.
