Review: I went to Mr Wireless to buy a new cellphone. I currently already use MetroPCS and was not willing to change my carrier for any reason. I only wanted a phone that was compatible with my carrier. I made this very clear to the sales person before purchasing the phone.

I asked about a $200.00 BLU brand phone and the salesperson/manager guaranteed that it will work I also said that I wanted my money back if the phone is not compatible. The sales person told me that purchases at the store are not refundable after they are purchased (this was after he processed the payment) and insisted that I choose another carrier if the phone does not work with MetroPCS. Once again, one of the first things I stated clearly before discussing new phones was that I was NOT willing to change companies for any reason whatsoever.

The phone was never shrink wrapped, I did not touch any of the accessories, I did not open the phone myself, he opened the phone, put the battery in and turned it on himself. He clearly saw himself that the phone was NOT accessing MetroPCS' network and still refused to give me a full refund. The sales person himself insisted that I speak to MetroPCS staff and have this resolved, thus I walked 2 blocks to the MetroPCS close by where the representative there explained that the phone will lose functions after a week because the BLU brand is not compatible with their service. I promptly went back to Mr Wireless where I insisted for my money to be returned and was only given back a portion even though, I barely handled the phone, the salesperson himself did 95% of the handling. He even put the screen protectors and packaging back on the phone and put it back on the shelf to sell to someone else. The phone was barely out of the store for 15 minutes and it was only taken out to verify if it would work with my service. The rep at MetroPCS took one look at the box and without even touching it she stated that the service would lose functioning after a week.

The MetroPCS representative stated that the BLU brand phones are not compatible with their service. What will happen is that if the phone is connected, after a week the phone will stop accessing the internet and text/picture messages which are the two main things that I use with a smartphone. I promptly returned to the original store and demanded my money. I also explained that I would have never bought the phone if he had been clear regarding the return policy. I would never buy a product I'm not sure about from a place that does not give full refunds, thus I would not have purchased this phone from this vendor. I insisted that I only wanted my money back however he kept pressing me to get a new carrier which I clearly told him from the very beginning that I wasn't interested in! I must have told him about 15-20 times that I do not want a new phone carrier! Finally, he offered to give me back some money with a 25% restocking fee deducted. I paid $217 in total for the phone and he returned $167 to me in cash. He did not give me any recipt for the return either. This is not fair. I want all of my money back. He told me that this phone would work with my service and I promptly found out that this was not true and he refused to acknowledge neither this nor the fact that he was not clear regarding the return policy from the beginning! Instead of explaining the return policy, he was busy trying to sell me a new plan even though I insisted many times that I was not interested in a new plan! I want the rest of my money back in full!Desired Settlement: I want the rest of my money back in full!

Review: I purchased a cell phone on the [redacted]. I had MAJOR issues with the phone. It stalled, the reception was horrendous. It dropped calls. It was a touch screen phone, but at times it didn't respond to my touch. It just wasn't a good phone. I came back on the [redacted] and asked for a replacement. The sales person denied me a replacement and said that if I purchase a phone, I purchase AS IS. I believe this phone is a refurbished phone and they sold it as "new". BAD BUSINESS PRACTICE!Desired Settlement: I would either like a refund of $150 (the price of the phone including tax),or a new phone.

I would like to offer the customer a new phone or if she wants money back as well instead of getting a phone that is fine. We don't sell refurbished phones. I apologized that the customer had problems with the phone and the worker didn't access the problem correctly. We could of exchanged it within 7 Days of purchase which is stated on the bottom of receipt. We have a non-refundable policy, which we are willing to assist the customer in this matter.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted]. I am not willing to get a new phone from them. However, they offered to reimburse me the amount of the phone they sold me. I am willing to do that. And, if they are still willing to reimburse me for the sale of the phone- then I find that this resolution is satisfactory to me and the matter has been resolved.
