I hired MRD Roofing and Construction to replace siding on two sides of my house. I purchased the supplies for project. MRD showed up and I knew I was in trouble. MRD worker did not have a nail gun which I let him borrow mind, no pencil, no level, and no ladder jacks. The workers did an unacceptable job. There were six nails at the end of the board and they still missed the stud. They freehanded installing the siding with no level or siding gauges so after only nine rows of siding it was all uneven and not fastened securely. I told them to pick up their stuff and not to come back. I am out $225 for materials and Mark Crist is not making an attempt to reimburse me for my lost.
Review: The contractor was notified of a few issues with his work. I paid my final payment and additional payments for two other related jobs. This was three weeks ago. He promised to come back the next day to complete the few issues which included the weather stripping on the door upstairs, removal of some metal objects on the steps, installation of smoke detectors and cleaning of some grease spots on the ceiling upstairs. He did not come back the next day. I have called him around 10 times and he returned my calls four times on various days saying he would return to finish up the work. On the last call he promised that work would be finished Thursday, 8/15. I called him today and got no response.Desired Settlement: DesiredSettlementID: Other (requires explanation)

I had contacted the customer via phone just after the complaint. Made an immediate appointment and took care of all his issues that were unresolved.
We are on an open work basis and more work is scheduled to be done with this same customer.

I had another issue which the contractor is completely aware and has not been resolved. This has to do with the bulkhead door where water is leaking in from the middle where both doors close. He told me that he will try to repair it on Tuesday, 9/10.
