Telephone response obtained from company as follows:The company stated that the consumer got asphalt grindings, this is asphalt that is ground up into gravel.The company stated they put the asphalt grindings down because the consumer wanted a price on paving his driveway, he could not afford the
paving.The company stated the consumer asked how much it would be to extend the driveway, it was $4,and the consumer couldn't afford to do that.The company stated the consumer asked how much would it be to just put grindings down the driveway.The company stated we did do the asphalt grinding driveway for $2,500.00, the consumer couldn't even afford that either The company stated they got $1,down and $1,when the job was done from the consumer.The company stated the consumer signed a proposal and the consumer was to pay the additional $by the end of May.The company stated the $payment was never received.The company stated that the consumer went on the internet and started bad mouthing them to Geauga Buy Sell Trade.The company stated everyone on there, more or less, was on there side saying the consumer got what he paid for, he wanted asphalt grindings, he got asphalt grindings and the company put it down the way it's supposed to be The company stated the consumer is complaining that it's breaking up, it's cracking and he didn't get what he paid for.The company stated that you can't crack gravel, you can't break gravel, it's gravel The company stated the reason the job was quoted at $4,and they did the job for $2,500.00, is because the consumer originally wanted to add on about X onto his driveway.The company stated to extend the driveway that would mean they would need to dig and remove more dirt, add bigger stone, pack it with more machinery, that means more time and more money.The company stated that's not what the consumer got, they got a $2,driveway, we put asphalt grindings down the driveway. The company stated the consumer put on facebook that Mike was a perfect person to listen to and their driveway is wonderful.The company stated that driveways with gravel require maintenance, the consumer will have to maintain the driveway
