Review: This is a billing issue with a imaging ceneter. On July **, 2014 , I had a calcuim screening CT. During the initial intake , I was told the cost of the procedure was $100.00 . The [redacted] checked with another person, and confirmed the cost of the exam. I paid that amount in full. I also signed a self pay letter with the cost of the exam @ $100.00.
About 2 months later , I received a bill from this center advising me of a balance of $25.00. I called the billing dept. and they confirmed I had a 0 balance. I thought that was the end.
This week , I received a Final Notice from this vendor, stating that I still owe $25.00 , and if I don't pay this balance, it was going to collections.
Again, I called the vendor. [redacted], their representative, said she would look into it and try to get me a paid in full letter.Desired Settlement: I want Mid Hudson Imaging to send me a paid in full, 0 balance letter.
and I would suggest that they do not try to deceive patients as to the actual cost of the exam. [redacted] implied the cost was $125, but they would write off the $25.00.
Never was a "write off " said to me at the time of the exam. ..just the cost of the exam.
I want a letter of 0 balance, and for them to stop sending me threatening bills.
