The following letter Is in response to letter dated October 5, 2015 from [redacted]. [redacted], assigned., ID of [redacted]. The work that was performed at [redacted] was by request of [redacted], the Mother of [redacted]. We have performed other projects at this home that has ranged from...

emergency plumbing repairs, furnace repairs, and Installation of new vanity. We have always had a good relationship with Mrs. [redacted]. The date that the work began on this project was July 10, 2015. We initially had two carpenters that met at our office (approximately 3 miles from jobsite) at 7am. We began to load the windows, tools and miscellaneous supplies we felt necessary to install the two windows. This ranged from table saw, metal brake, coil stock, caulk, multiple sizes of wood to be used for framing, etc. This was loaded into two different trucks and taken to the jobsite. I was personally there to help load and my company truck was one that hauled some of the materials to the site. We arrived at the site before 7:30am. I had already contacted Mrs. [redacted] the previous day to let her know we would be there early. Myself and two carpenters were led upstairs to where the first window was located and began moving furniture and other items so we could access the window. After about 1/2 hr. I left the jobsite and left the two carpenters continue their work. At approximately 10am I had two more carpenters show up so they could work installing the other window. Unfortunately we were not able to get to the other window due to [redacted] still in the other bedroom a sleep. We were not able to get to that window until almost 1:30pm due to this fact. What Is puzzling is how he thinks he knew when our personnel arrived when he was a sleep. We did as much prepping, bending metal flashing etc., to get ready to install the second window as we could until he left the bedroom. The carpenters were able to complete installation of both windows that day, even though being held up by [redacted] laying in bed till after noon. Two men 9 hrs, two men 7 hrs, myself 1 hr. (33 hrs). Keep in mind that this house is almost 100 years old and they had A/C units in the windows that were removed and reinstalled before we left.  July 20, 2015, We came back and installed 4 windows in their garage, covered 4 windows in the garage with plywood. We also covered with plywood one window in an out building, worked on a door latch and a garage door latch. That day we had three carpenters that again arrived at our office at 7:00am, loaded the windows and necessary tools and equipment to do the work. They again arrived before 7:30 am., and worked till 5:30 pm. (3 men 10 Hrs.) During the progress my partner stopped by and checked on them. They requested some additional materials and he went to our office loaded the additional materials, returned back to the jobsite, unloaded and left. He had 1/2hr. to perform this task.  After we have performed this work [redacted] called and wanted to know why we had not installed a new window in the bathroom. I told him that his mother requested only 6 windows and this is what she could afford. After speaking to Mrs. [redacted] she did request that we purchase the bathroom window and install. This was done September 3, 2015. If our work was not satisfactory, why did they request us to perform additional work. The invoice he is disputing was dated August 21, 2015. We have not sent the invoice for the bathroom window to Mrs. [redacted] yet, I feel that our time was fair, Mr. [redacted] wasn't even awake until past lunch the first day we were there, and he was not there the entire day of July 20th. We performed quality work and the invoice is close to the estimate that was provided. We could have possibly got the work done quicker if Mr. [redacted] had not been laying around in a bedroom he knew was getting a new window.
