Mroczek Motors of Madison

Unsatisfied!! I stressed to how important it was I needed a safe good running vehicle. Found one I really liked he seemed very nice. I bought a vehicle from him and I have just had it a month and am already having to put 2000$ into it to get it fixed. I tried to get in contact with them and did not even get a response. I will never recommend this dealer to anyone! 100%Bad business

We bought a 2001 Honda Civic for our 17 year old daughter and after a short time we started having trouble with the car. After it overheated we took the car to our family mechanic and he informed us that we would likely need to replace the radiator. Before the work was done our mechanic informed us that they had found a large amount of a Never-Leak or Stop-Leak type solution in the plastic radiator overflow reservoir. He said that they viewed that as a serious red flag that whoever sold us the car may have been trying to hide something, especially since the solution was applied to the plastic reservoir rather than directly into the metal radiator.
That repair was only about $350 so we just paid our bill and hoped that the mechanic was wrong. After only a short time the car overheated again and when we took it back to the mechanic he said that it was his professional opinion that we shouldn't sink anymore money into the car in light of the issues with the Never-Leak that they found on our last visit. He basically refused to do the repair because he didn't think he could stand behind his work given the irregularities that he had already found on the car.
We were very upset because we had spent $5000 on the car and now my daughter was stranded and the car looked like a total loss. We called Vito from Mroczek Motors and he assured us that they would never apply Never-Leak on one of their cars. I told him that it looked very suspicious and that we were very upset about the transaction. Vito offered to have his mechanic check into it and ultimately said he could get the heads repaired for his cost, which he said was $1000. When the repair was done Vito laid the blame for the failure on my daughter but assured us that now we should have a safe car that should have a long life ahead of it.
After we got the car back from Vito it ran okay for a couple of months and then we were forced to replace both the engine and transmission while my daughter was off to college. Having owned the car barely a year, and putting less than 10,000 miles on it, we are furious to now be spending almost $5000 more to bring the car to the level of road worthiness that Vito attested to from the beginning. The car had only 129,000 miles when we bought it and we were expecting it to last for a long time. Our mechanic seemed to know what was up and we are kicking ourselves that we didn't just trust his opinion from the beginning.
I would not recommend that anyone buy a car from Mroczek Motors or their other dealership Epic Automotive Madison (3901 Dempsey Rd,) where our engine repairs were done. I have called and emailed Vito continuously and now he refuses to address the problems that we are having. For the amount of profit that Vito makes on one car he could have saved his reputation but he has moved on apparently.
