Michael came out on April 24th. He approached me at my home. I was on my porch. He pulled up in a real nice pick up truck. His son, a little boy, was with him. He said he was Greek, but looked Italian. He looked to be about 50. He said he was there to look at my driveway. He said he thought he could patch it. He said if my neighbor agreed to pay $100 to patch the end of her crumbling driveway, he woudl do mine for $800. He and another guy, who did most of the work, patched the driveway that day. About Friday, July 31st, I noticed the driveway cracked the length of the patch, there are also hairline cracks, it's crumbly too.I contacted Angie's List. I've called three times and left messages ***. He has not contacted me at all.

Michael S approached us in our home on 7/14/2020 and wanted to seal and fill cracks on our blacktop driveway. He said he would do it for 800.00 and charged me an $80.00 fee for using a check which he cashed within 5 minutes.

He did a terrible job and did not fill in the cracks. He did not give a receipt or the warranty he said was included. we have called several times and it goes to a mailbox that is full.

And he also scammed our neighbor who paid in cash. Me and my neighbor are both retired and it seems like he is targeting the elderly. He was driving a red truck with M&S Paving.

Michael came by after my initial call and told me what kind of work he would do for me. He was very convincing and even threw in that he was a Christian (must have seen the FISH logo on my car) . After I told him about another scam that I was a victim of, he said he was on some kind of committee that helped people who got scammed. He gave me a quote of $800 to patch an area where concrete had been broken off by the City of Columbus to fix a main-line water break. I had just gotten another quote of $1600 so I thought I would pick Michael's better deal. Michael called later that day and said he had a truck-load of asphalt from a deal that had just gone south and could give me a good deal on patching the driveway if he could come right over and use the asphalt before it "went bad". He even called again, and many more times, saying that we had made our decision too late for the good deal on the asphalt and that he would have to tack on another $400 to complete the job. Again, this price was still below the other company's quote. I told him I was leary but he assured me that others on the cul-de-sac would see his work and wanted to the job to look great so that he could get more business. We finally said yes, after quite a bit of pressure.l came over to do the work without any help and drove a brand new beautiful truck, which also made me a bit suspicious. Long story short, he was rude about demanding payment immediately after the job was done. and would only take money from Cash App or cash, so I had to set it up and had a few problems getting the app in place. He was quite impatient. I asked for the 10 yr warrantee that he promised and he texted me a bare bones "warrantee". I payed but noticed the next day that the asphalt wasn't setting up and never did. I called and told him that there was a problem in a couple of areas and he said he would come back and fix things but to give it a little more time to dry. Covid happened, so I didn't call and insist he come back right away. When I did reach out as soon as things seemed to be improving in Columbus regarding Covid, he never responded. So, I paid $1200 for a sealed driveway. I don't want anyone else to get scammed by this guy. I see that there is one other complaint and what this victim wrote is a similar story to mine. PS. I can't seem to get rid of the attachments below...none apply. Sorry... I have pictures of the work he did and the 10 yr. warrantee, if needed but I am presently having trouble attaching those pictures.

Mr. Peter S contracted to put in a cement stoop and once it was complete, it looked terrible and did not correct the problem. I made multiple contacts with him and he stated he would fix it multiple times, but he did not follow through. I paid a lot of money and will have to pay more to have it fixed since he will not follow through with fixing it.

5/2/20 We met at my house after talking on phone, he gave me his business card.He said his name was peter stults. I told him I wanted front sidewalk tore out and replaced. the stoop he said he would cover over and it would be smooth. We wanted a patio and sidewalk in the back yard put in. Agreed on 2008 chevy Pick up truck($2000), $1000. up front and $800 when finished. Signed over the pick up truck paid $1000.00 PayPal. 5/6/20 he tore up front sidewalk left it in driveway ,next day didnt come back. I called him back and he said he would be back on 5/11 and he didn't come back. He came back on 5/14 to put the forms in and then didnt come back until 5/21 did the base and then poured the concrete on 5/22/20. We gave him $800 and he was suppose to come back and take the forms off in 2/3 days but never returned. Left them on. Unsatisfied with the job and spoke to him on the ph. I told him it was a terrible job and uneven. He said I was rude to him and he would not come back. I am upset with job, did research found his real name is

Starting the week of May 4, 2020.The company was contacted and services agreed upon. And money given for services. This week (May 4) Peter and his crew completed the front sidewalk and applied a seal to the outside of the basement wall. They then completed one sidewalk in the back yard and about 1/3 of another sidewalk. On this date the crew transferred the broken up cement along with wood pieces. And the cement company dumped about a 30-36 inch round mound of the unused cement, which landed on my flowers and raspberry bushes behind my privacy fence. Peter informed me that they would be out either May 11 or 12 to finish the sidewalk and pick up the mess that was dumped. I was informed by his crew that they would have to bring back their jack hammer to break up the cement. We did talk further about completing the sidewalk out side my side door but at this time I don not want him to even touch this. Peter will continue to call and inform me that he would be out to complete project. And this has continued throughout May and into June. TO THIS DATE nothing further has been done after their first visit. I feel he is a talker and I feel he continues to LIE LIE LIE.

Michael P (I believe that's his last name) of M&S Paving gave me a quote paint my driveway, sidewalk along the side of my house, and the sidewalk in the back yard. We were discussing colors and I said I wanted the driveway to match the deck. He then said he could paint the back and front deck for me. He said he was used to doing "everything."
1. Paint my driveway and seal
2. Paint the sidewalks and seal
3. Epoxy the garage and seal
4. Paint front deck and seal
5. Paint back deck and seal
6. Spring clean, dig trench, and mulch my flower beds

I paid Michael after he started screaming at me that he needed his money which was very intimidating. Michael was supposed to come back to put on the clear coatings that I paid a total of $450 on my garage, sidewalk, driveway, front and back decks. It was not done. He was to fill in the cracks of concrete on the two squares in front of my driveway and the mouth of the drive. That was not done. Also, the clean up of splattered paint on my brick, shutters, solar lights, and water hose caddy never happened. At least he paid for the paint on the American flag he got paint on and left on the grass. Needless to say, his work is incredibly sloppy. Both my decks and especially my garage look as though there was a shortage of paint. He said it’ll look better when it’s dry. Two days later he said the uneven paint job will "turn" the same color.The concrete trash can slab he installed looks like mushed gravel that he wanted to get paid for. I'm now repainting the deck. The paint is chipping and the railing barely had any paint at all. Flower beds weren't cleaned or trenched. I paid him $850 and he only laid mulch.

Mr. P also “borrowed” my gas can 1/2 filled with gas, my large push broom, a bucket, and 2 extension cords. None of which he returned after I asked him to bring the items back and texted him twice to do so. The wrenches he borrowed I found discarded in the wet grass rusting, of course, with paint all over them.

I spoke with Peter at all seal Ohio who reassured me that he would seal and patch our driveway and the the cost was $450. He did half the work expected yet wanted all the money, and he said he would come back to finish the job. He never came back even when I called him back several times. He said he didn't want to come to finish the job. He said he would just reimburse me half the money ($225) so I could get someone else to complete the job. Moreover, he never returned the money or any follow-up calls I made to him. Just like other reviews, I think we got scammed

On Tuesday, 7-23-19, I contacted this company, Top Seal, a.k.a. Top Coat, to receive an estimate and Mr. Peter R came to my home and provided a verbal estimate of $1,700.00 to repair and seal my driveway and repair concrete approach. He stated he would fill all cracks, put patch in an area that had previously been dug out for a waterline repair, put patch in low areas of the driveway, then seal the driveway, and also repair multiple areas on the concrete approach. We agreed to have him do the job the following day, 7-24-19. Mr. R and 1 other gentlemen showed up on 7-24-19 to do the job, they worked for a total of 3 hours. They had shown up to start work at 11:30 a.m., worked for an hour then left stating they needed additional supplies (which they were gone for an hour), then returned back to work at 12:30 p.m., and worked until 2:45 p.m. During their work and upon completion of the job, I asked several questions. I was assured everything I had asked/pointed out would be taken care of, i.e. foundation gravel being placed in the waterline repair area being patched. He also told me to wait 24 hours to allow the blacktop to cure and 48 hours for the concrete patch to cure (which we have done). After I paid them and they left, I found multiple issues with the work and a large mess to cleanup, and contacted the company immediately (same day).The woman who answered the phone and spoke with me about the issues, assured me she would have Mr. R return the following day on Thursday 7-25-19, at noon, to make all the necessary repairs and "Make the job right". He never showed or called, I made calls to his number of , which he would never answer and I left a message. I never received a call back. On 7-25-19 at approximately 1:00 p.m., my wife then found a second phone number of , listed for the company and called it. She spoke with the same woman I had previously talked to on 7-24-19 regarding the multiple issues. The woman stated, "I remember speaking with your husband yesterday and I am so glad you called. I had just asked Peter to text me your phone number so I could contact you and let you know he would not be able to make it today, he had a prior commitment for today that I didn't find out about until late last night and I didn't want to contact you at 9:00 p.m. I assure you he will be there tomorrow". My wife then told her it would need to be at 1:00 p.m. due to the fact that we had appointments Friday morning. The woman said that would be fine and he would definitely be there at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, 7-26-19. The woman then asked what Peter would need to make the repairs, and my wife stated everything, the concrete work was coming up, the patch was coming up, all the cracks were not sealed, and multiple areas of the driveway were not sealed. My wife also stated that she was getting a little nervous about the work and repairs needed since Mr. R did not show as previously promised, but the woman stated "No need to worry, I assure you it will be taken care of". Once again, Mr. R did not show and calls are not being answered on either number when we call from home. Due to Mr. R not returning calls and not showing to make the necessary repairs as promised, I feel I will have to correct the issues myself or pay someone else to have the repairs/work done.

Hello...Last year, we had Top Coat seal our driveway. While pricey (double the normal rate), they were using a higher quality product and had a two-year warranty. So, we gave them a try. Some interesting things came up after they started. I asked if they took a check, they said yes. Then, later in the process, they asked which bank the check was from, and my bank was not acceptable, so had to get cash to pay them.

After they left, I noticed they missed an area and called to see if they would come back and finish the job. Peter said they could add another coat for $99, but since we had already paid $320 that seems like enough.

Since that time last June, I have probably called every week during the season. Unfortunately, they have been unable to schedule me, or do not answer.

The driveway is looking poor. It appears the product was defective or not applied in an appropriate way.

On June 4, 2019, *** canvassed my neighborhood looking to earn money and seal coat driveway. There were 2 representatives from the company, they quoted $800 cash, I allowed them to do the work and when they were done, I paid them in full cash money. After the 24hr recommended drying period for the coating to set, I noticed several places on the driveway that had been missed and other places the sand that was used to fill cracks was coming off. The same company performed work on 2 of my neighbors driveways and was paid cash as well. One neighbor contacted the company and requested them to return because of the same issue I'm complaining about. The same 2 representatives returned to the neighbors home and resurfaced. However, after I made 3 phone calls and sent 2 emails to the company, I have yet to receive a return call or email to resolve my issue with the work performed. I called twice on June 16th, 2019 and sent emails on June 19th and 20th.

I contacted Top Coat to do some asphalt and striping work. Top Coat asked for 50% down and then stated that they could not do the work because they didn't feel they could meet our espectations. So they backed out of doing the work and now they will not return phone calls or return deposit money.
They showed up to on site unscheduled and did not pour the asphalt per the prints. On another site they did not stripe the parking lot per the prints and they painted the handicap sign backwards.

I paid $400 to have cracks in my driveway filled and seal the entire driveway on Saturday October 6th. Cracks did not get filled. Sealant splattered all over new, white garage door and spilled on walkway. I spoke to someone at the company the next day, was told same guy would be sent back to correct all problems. No one came back, my phone calls and emails have not been returned.

The Top coat is the paving, sealcoating, and concrete maintenance company as they advertised in their website. We agreed that they change my home drive way to concrete for $3500.00. They received $2000.00 by check and the remaining $1500.00 will be given upon the completion of the work. The check was cashed next morning. It has been two months and no body showed to work. They disappeared with my $2000.00 dollars.

We hired this company, Top Coat, to pave our driveway at *** We met with Peter R owner of the company on June 12, 2018. He quoted us a price of $3,500.00 with a deposit of $1,000.00. We paid him the $1,000.00 on June 12, 2018. He never did the job! We made arrangement with Peter R on four different dates to do our driveway. He never showed up or called to cancel once.
When finally did get a hold of him, we made arrangement with him to meet on July 24, 2018 at *** At this time he said he would refund our $1,000.00 deposit. We were there on July 24, 2018 and again he never showed up. This was a bogus address he gave us.
We also had another address for him at ***. We also went there and this is another bogus address he gave us.

On 6/9/2018 a contract was agreed to and a deposit of $1,250.00 was paid to Peter H representing the Top Coat company. The contract for a asphalt driveway replacement.The contract stated first process was to remove all asphalt. second and final process was to pave entire driveway using 3 1/2 inches of hot 404 asphalt to be rolled down with 2 ton roller. Also remove and replace concrete sidewalk in front of driveway. The work was to begin on 6/14/2018. work was not started. After numerous phone calls I was told I was on the schedule for 7/5/2018. Work was not started. Attempts to Mr. H were in vain. Contact was made in the evening of 7/5/2018. He assured me work would start on 7/17/2018. No work, no phone call, no contact.
This is a very unreliable business to conduct any business with.

I hired this company to do some driveway repair work at my house for $9000. Some of the work I was not satisfied with and some of the work was never completed. I was told on 7/27/17 that for an additional $3000 they would pave my entire driveway but I had to pay them that day because they were buying the asphalt on 7/28/17. I paid the additional $3000 expecting my driveway to be paved the next day. They never came back to pave my driveway. After multiple missed appointments, I asked for my money back on 9/19/17. They said they would return $4000 by 10/10/17. They have only returned $2000.
