Mt. Ephraim Chrysler Dodge Reviews (4)

Review: I am a 20 year old young man wanting to purchase a vehicle. After searching, I found a 2013 [redacted] that I was interested in at Mt. Ephraim Dodge. I made contact with them and ultimately set up an appt. on 1/19/15. I met with a salesman Steve C[redacted] to look at the car. After initial paperwork and a test drive, we started discussing numbers. He knew I was a full time student and only made $1300/month. While waiting for my dad to arrive, we started discussing information. At this time he told me I needed a co-signer because I didn't make enough. I found someone to co-sign for me so that when my dad arrived we can discuss a deal. After back and forth, we agreed on 72 month at $236.00/month including an additional 5 year warranty as part of the price of the car. We did all the paperwork and agreed to come back on 1/22/15 with my co-signer to finalize the papers. That morning 1/22/15, he called saying that he never agreed to those terms and he would do it 72 months and $256/month. At that price he would lose $1600. When my dad spoke with him and said that I would return the car and go somewhere else he decided to keep the original terms. I went in with my co-signer and finished the paperwork at night on 1/22/15.. He went over everything quickly and skipped over many parts saying it was already discussed so I can move on. Once I came home, my dad looked at the paperwork and noticed it said 75 months not 72. I called him the next day and told him and he said he never agreed to it. We had an agreement but he chose to lie like he had the entire process. This was my first experience buying a car and will be my last there. I would like them to live up to their original terms and not steal an additional three months of money that I never agreed to but missed because he kept rushing the paper work.Desired Settlement: I want to have the original terms that were agreed upon which is 72 months not 75 months. I feel like I was deceived from the very beginning.

Response:

After review of all paperwork involved with [redacted] purchase of his 2013 [redacted] we have found that everything that was signed by [redacted] and his Co Purchaser clearly stated a 75 month term. Everyone that purchases a vehicle is afforded more then ample time to review all documents before signing. However, we here at Mt. Ephraim Chrysler Dodge as a gesture of Good Faith are willing to split the amount that he is disputing of $710.34 and refund him $355.17. We have attempted to contact [redacted] in regards to this complaint but have yet to hear from him. We look forward to hearing from [redacted] in response to this Good Faith gesture by us.[redacted]

Review: Purchased a 2012 dodge durango on 11/24/2014 at that time the car purchased was 25,000 and 40,000 miles. The sales manager Dean told us this was a pre owned certified car. Also told us that the car had more then 50% life of the tires left. Yesterday when I took it into service and was told our tires are on the warning and need to be replaced. When I purchased the car Dean told me that he guaranteed the tires and if they were to go within 12 months they would be covered because it was a certified car. So I call dodge yesterday and they notified me that dean never registered the car as being certified. When we called Dean yesterday to inform him he told us there isnt anything he will do about it so I went online and posted a neg review of the dealership on the site. Dean now calls my home today and threatens my husband and harassed us by saying that we are putting reviews up for nothing and they already got their money for the car so its our problem nowDesired Settlement: I want all 4 of my tired replaced since I bought the car less then 9 months ago and drove less then 10000 miles. The car was a 2012 dodge durango for 25000 and I also want it certified with dodge like it should be per dodge

Review: [redacted]

I am rejecting this response because:

[redacted] the dealership GM called me on 10/5 at that time I informed him I was in FL on vacation and will touch base with him when we return 10/12. He never stated that they will resolve the issue. [redacted] told me to come in and he will look at the car and we can discuss a deal!!! I will NOT be paying for new tires and the certification for my vehicle when it was the dealerships responsibility. I will real out to dealership when we return from FL to discuss a time to take my car in for replacement tires at the dealerships cost. Will follow up with Revdex.com once this is done.

We were able to settle this with the customer who spoke with our General Mgr., [redacted]. Thank you.

Review: The first time I went to this location I paid 350 dollars to have my alarm system on my car fixed. After mutiple visits to this location my alarm system is still not properly resolved/fixed and every time I brought it to them they said it was fix and then about a week after the problem starts happening again. The last time I actually took it there they took apart my console and my trunk apart to attempt to fix the problem they never put the console or the trunk back properly and left exposed wires hanging in the trunk. I was not very happy with the service or the help at this location and ended up having to take it somewhere else.Desired Settlement: A full refund of the 350 dollars worth of work that they said that they complete to fix the car alarm system but was never properly fixed

Response:

Customer brought in vehicle for the 1st time on 11/19 with complaint of alarm going off when locked. Completed initial diagnosis of $119.00. During diagnosis found multiple 3rd party/non OEM add ons such as alarm and remote start. Customer stated that car was bought used and was unaware of add on equipment. Customer was informed that aftermarket alarm had to be removed 1st before it would be known if other repairs were needed and if needed further costs would ensue, customer authorized additional wiring repair/removal at that time. After removal car was let alone for over 2 hours in the shop and checked periodically throughout the day and alarm never went off. Car returned to customer Customer returned 2 months later on 1/6/15 with repeat concern, at that time customer was never charged for time spent (approx. 2.5 hours @ $119.00 per hour) and concern was never duplicated. Car returned to customer with no charges. Customer returned 1/12/15 with same concern and that alarm going off was wearing down battery and was not charged for over 3 hours of time spent, car started without jump start and was brought into the shop. Battery tested good and alarm did go off in shop for the 1st time. Found no codes stored or active explaining possible cause. Chrysler technical support contacted for guidance in possible root cause, but customer took vehicle back before additional diagnosis and/or repair could be completed. Customer only charged for initial diagnosis and repair with the knowledge that further repairs may be needed and after authorizing this. Customer was never charged for the additional 5.5 hours/$650 worth of time spent.

Regards,

Review: Took my car in for a recall. Andrew stated the new FOBS weren't communicating with the new module. They would have to charge me a $119 diagnostic fee. I stated it should be part of the recall since my car was fine when I brought it in. They claim that the fuse from the rear windshield wiper wasn't working (it was fine when I brought the car in, I had used the wipers the night before) and that was what was causing the system to not communicate. We called Chrysler and they told us they would reimburse us. Today they said they will not reimburse us because the fuse wasn't part of the recall. I know the fuse wasn't part of the recall. It didn't need to be replaced, there wasn't anything wrong with it. They just replaced it because they needed an excuse to charge me a diagnostic fee when I shouldn't have been charged. No way the fuse was related to the new Fobs not communicating with the system. Husband asked for an electrical schematic showing how a blown windshield wiper fuse would affect communication with the PCM and the key switch. He was told they would not supply the schematic, nor did they give the supposed blown fuse.Desired Settlement: I want to be reimbursed the $63.67 I was charged for something that was not necessary.
