He continued to call several times a week although each time we explained this to himHe also stated that he spoke with someone at our office during times when no such call took place as no one was in our office at that timeAs promised, his refund was issued, less services rendered, on 2/25/15, days after the request was madeThank you for your assistance on this matterPlease let me know if there is anything else I can do to remedy this situation on your endSincerely,

Here at Mt Pleasant Chiropractic & Rehab we offer several payment arrangements for our patientsOur goal in this is to make treatment affordable to everyone so they may get the care they need and deserveOne of these options includes a discount for paying in fullThese payments are usually collected sometime within the patient’s treatment period, however special arrangements can be madeWe absolutely do not require anyone to pay for services in advance, nor do we charge for services that have not been renderedDuring the financial consultation there are several forms that the patient and staff member signOne of these forms includes their fee for service agreementThis form states the following:
Agreement may be terminated at any time by either partyIf the patient has paid a lump-sum payment or payments, the refund shall equal the lump-sum amount(s) paid less any and all sums due for services actually performedThe amounts due for the services actually performed shall be computed at non-discounted rates as would have otherwise been charged for the services if paid for as renderedRefunds will be paid to the patient within thirty (30) days of the termination by either partyIt is very rare that a patient would commit to our treatment program, pay in full, and choose to cancel treatment after only one visitIn regards to complaint #10463262, the patient informed us of his decision to discontinue treatment on 2/5/At that time it was explained that the refund would be issued within 2-weeks due to pending insurance paymentsOur intent with this process is that if insurance should pay more than anticipated that the patient would receive the maximum refund available beyond what would have otherwise been owedOn 2/25/15, days after the request was made, the patients refund was issued and postdatedWe received the complaint several days later, having been made the same day the refund was issuedIt is the goal at our office that any patient, whether or not they complete treatment, leave on good termsWe understand that while within our policies, that a large refund pending would be a financial concern to both partiesWe are always open to any suggestions that would improve our relationships with our patientsGoing forward we have chosen to amend our policies in regards to larger refundsA refund will be issued more promptly for the largest amount possible minus any amount that is awaiting pending insurance paymentsOnce the account is closed and always within thirty days, the remainder of the refund if any will be issued in a separate paymentWe are regretful that we did not have the foresight to make this amendment prior to this situation.?
