MTE Communications

After my experience over the last several months with numerous employees, from initial contact, through installation of fiber optic cable through my property and then into my house (and attic!), and now internet service, I feel I can give an honest and thorough review of MTE. I feel it is especially important for anyone seeing the poor reviews below as it is easy to complain, but so often, good service is rarely reviewed.
I live in an extremely rural area of Arizona where fast internet is basically non-existent. Being a web developer, I have had to be very creative in coming up with my own expensive solutions just to keep my business going. That has meant a Verizon wireless data plan that charges exorbitant rates and using an external antenna pointing to a cell tower 14 miles away to make it work. I have done this in my current location for over 5 years. Recently, Verizon's service has been deteriorating and becoming less reliable, and I've had to reboot numerous times a day. To say this has been frustrating is putting it mildly.
Six months ago, I learned that the rural landline phone company, MTE Communications, was going to install fiber optic within a couple miles of my home/office. Not really thinking that I would hear back, let alone that anything would come of it, I emailed the company's contact regarding my desire that they extend their line and my situation.
Imagine my surprise when I not only heard back later that day but with a very polite response asking about my bandwidth requirements and letting me know that he would get back to me. Long story short, he did and the line was extended to our house and has been installed!
Every step of the way has impressed upon me how wonderful this company is. Not only was my initial contact amazing, but every employee I have had the pleasure to work with along the way has been as well.
When the guys used their ditching machinery for the line from the road to our house, they did it in such a way as to make it nearly invisible. Even when they came to a short dry-laid landscaping wall, they carefully took it apart, block by block, to dig the ditch underneath and put it back together again. You would never know it was done!
The crew that installed it in the house had the misfortune of having to crawl up into the attic to wire the CAT5 to my office. They got everything working great and were so friendly and professional as well.
I am THRILLED with my internet service! Now, not only am I not having to reboot my router just to keep working but I can actually watch Netflix and Hulu. Yay!
Last, but not least, I have even talked to the home office a couple times when I've set up billing and asked some questions, and SURPRISE, you get NICE PEOPLE on the phone there too!!! What a concept in this day and age.
So, all I can say is that I highly recommend MTE. They have been wonderful every step of the way. I am so happy to do business with them.
