Review: I purchased a sofa from Sahara furniture in Washington heights for 1245$ + 125 for assembly ( I was already charged 50$ for " set up on my receipt ). When the couch arrived it was not the color she had asked for and we sent it back. I spoke with the store manager ( [redacted] ) various times since mid January 2013 and asked if he would be able to get the sofa we I wanted in the color that I asked for it, If not I asked for a refund of the money that had been paid since he was unable to provide the product that I wanted and had already paid for in full, the best solution that he could come up with was to find a sofa somewhere else and he would purchase it or find a way to get the sofa we want from the manufacturer. In early May I found the sofa I wanted at [redacted] in queens. I made the manager at Sahara furniture aware of the model and price it was being sold for. He offered it to me at a price that was 1/3 higher than at [redacted] and also wants me to pay to have it assembled again. I told him I will not accept this offer. I asked for a refund of the money ( which is what I had been asking for initially since the sofa that arrived was not the sofa what I asked for ).A refund is the fairest way and the only way I feel is appropriate to remedy this situation.
