I recently went to Mufflers and More in Noblesville Indiana to get my car repairedThe window came off the track and the door lucked shutNeedless to say I have been taking my car there for several years with good service but recent visits did not have great resultsFor the door they informed me that they had to order parts and it would be ready in a few daysAfter a week I called and got the feedback that the parts are had to get and it was a big pain to do this repairThey told me that the parts would be in tomorrow and it would hopefully be doneThe next day I called and the same story was told to meI did this for another few days and they finally called me and said the car was ready except that they did not fix the lock due to costs for the replacement partSo I went up there to pick up the car and found they several screws and a part was missing from the doorI asked them to replace those parts as they were not missing when I brought it inThe owner said he would have this done and we talked about the lock issueHe said he was going to get the part from a junk yard (he actually said it was ordered already) and could fix it along with the other issues and have it ready tomorrowWell tomorrow is here and they called me and said that they couldn't get the partI am going to pick up my car and move onToo bad as I said I have been taking my cars there for several years but the service is just not same

I use this shop frequently and so does a lot of my familyMy recent experience was awfulI initially took my car in for an engine light that came onUpon diagnosis, the shop advised me that the ignition coil and spark plugs and wires needed replacedI had also advised them about some noise coming from the front end, turns out it was the tie rodsI advised the shop to do the repair work
Upon receipt of my vehicle, on the receipt it states nothing about an ignition coil, and this was the main reason why I told them to do this repair, was because I was unfamiliar with the ignition coilIf it would've just been the plugs and wires, I would've done that my selfAfter a few weeks of driving, I noticed when I hit pot holes, or even small holes, my car would jerk to the passenger side, if I didn't have two hands on the wheel, it would probably have jerked me into a curb, or even another carOne day it was raining and I was coming up to a stop, and upon braking, my car slid and almost hit the car in front of me
I did not feel safe driving my carI took it Discount Tire (I had recently bought new tires), to see if the tires I got were bad, they were notThe manager at Discount Tire advised me to have my front end looked atI took it to a shop he recommended to get a second opinion, and as soon as I pulled up, they said the alignment was offI agreed to bring it back to Mufflers and More to have them fix itI had advised on my drop off key sheet what was going on and if anything could be done about my tires, as the manager at Discount Tire said they were worn down way too much for having just got themMufflers and More completely ignored my tires being worn down
I get my car back after a few days and it drove a lot betterTwo weeks go by, I'm in the Wendy's drive thru and my car came to a sudden halt and it sounded like something brokeI had to have my car towed back up to Muffler's and More to see what this now wasThe tow company associate advised me it was either ball joints or the control arm(s)Upon the work being done from Mufflers and More, it ended up being the control arm and my father had spoken to the shop about it, sounding like they were going to take care of the workI received a voicemail that my car was ready to be picked up days after being dropped off at Mufflers and More, but I was unable to make it there in time while they were open as my work schedule conflicts with that
I go to pick my car up later that evening and it's nowhere to be found in the lotI was perplexed and confused so my first initial thought was it was stolen, because I always have them leave the keys in itI ended up having to call the Noblesville police department, they showed up and were able to find a contact for an associate of Mufflers and MoreThey showed up, and advised me it was in their locked lot, as it hadn't been paid for yetI was dumbfounded at this fact as I figured the business would've like to right their wrongI am completely dissatisfied with the customer service and their service on my carIt is still very noisy in the front end and I can't imagine what else was not fixed properly or completely ignored
I am not one to post this kind of review but it is just ridiculous and I am not happy, and still don't feel the safest in my car as it's very noisy and not sure what's going to happen nextMy family and I have used Muffler's and More for years, and unfortunately, I will never bring my vehicle back, or recommend them to anyone

He then called back and told us the vehicle was rattling and we told him to bring it back anytime and we would check it out. He brought the car back in on July 1st and asked us to install a catalytic converter, so we did according to his specifications.Daniel had called telling us to hold his muffler for him for a week or two until he could get his vehicle worked on. We agreed, and held the muffler for several weeks. After almost two months, [redacted] called and asked to bring the car in to get the exhaust taken care of, we agreed that he could come drop the car off and we would check the exhaust again and see what we could do for him. He dropped it off on the night of 7-21-15 in the overnight drop box. He did not mark when he was requiring work to be finished, so we were unable to check the vehicle for several days due to high work load at the shop.We regret to say that we would not be willing to refund the money for the muffler and the work that was done. We would be willing to give [redacted] options and our opinion on what he could do with the exhaust to get the sound he is seeking and to stop the rattle. But as it stands now, we have installed and done the exhaust the way [redacted] has asked and he is not getting the results that he expected. I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that the response would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.In response to their claims that: "I was told the muffler would make noise due to its size" - I was told that they would be able to make it fit, but they would have to rotate it to make it work.  "They installed the catalytic converter to my specifications" - They did NOT do it to my specifications, I had told them that I wanted the muffler to be fixed, and the Catalytic Converter to be placed behind it.That "I only asked them to hold the muffler for a week" - I had never told them a time estimate. I called and told them that I needed to do extensive reparis on my car and if they could hold my part for me. All I received from them was a Yes, with no time limit or warning about throwing my part away.With that said, Mufflers and More has neglected to address their poor workmanship(the exhaust is now leaking due to bad welding), their inability to communicate with me about the status of my part they were holding, the status of my car over four days never once changed even though I was told day after day it would be ready.The job has not been "Installed and done the way I asked". It is the exact opposite of being done. Mufflers and More has shown they do not wish to fix problems they created and they believe they can bully their way out of the issue.

On October 2, 2015 I had an appointment with Mufflers & More. I had an exhaust leak, a blown fuse, and asked for an oil/filter change. I dropped my vehicle off about 9:45 am that day. I had my husband pick me up as we ran several errands together. About 3:00 pm, I hadn't heard anything about my vehicle. I called and they "were about to bring it in". Annoyed, I said okay and waited for their call. I received a call from someone about 5:40 later that evening but missed the call and they left a voicemail to call back. I did so about 5:50 and didn't get an answer so I left a message. They open at 9:00 am on Saturdays. I finally called at 9:45 am to find out what repairs needed to be done to my vehicle. I was told it would be about $200 for everything, which I agreed to. They called when my vehicle was done and I went to pick it up. The paperwork was not completed, I had someone scribble something down on the work order and $200. I paid for my repairs and went on with my son to the high school and left for a band competition. We we arrived back to the school that night about midnight, I started up my vehicle and could still hear an exhaust noise and also noticed my front headlight was out. Now, I am well aware that this is coincidental but will all my other frustrations, I was a very upset. When I called on Monday afternoon to speak with the owner, the lady who answered the phone said she could help me. I told her about my experience & how frustrated I was about the whole experience and that my vehicle wasn't fixed. She placed me on hold and someone came to the phone saying "Hello". There was no explanation as to whom I was speaking to and I had to ask. I started to tell him about my frustration and when I mentioned the headlight he was making excuses that it could have happened anywhere. I am fully aware of this, as I stated before. When I am trying to tell him this and that I know what I'm speaking about he interrupts me and tells me that I do not. He gets very combative on the phone as I'm talking to him and was extremely rude. Needless to say, I will not be back after being spoken to with complete disrespect.

Review: Really bad work. Asked for a complete new flowmaster exhaust dumped behind the rear wheels and a new u-joint installed. Got the truck back with a hacked together exhaust and my old u-joint tack welded in place. Now I have a heavy roar in the front end and the exhaust already leaks and my check engine light is on constant. This is the second time they gave my truck back with poor quality work.
