parts over the counter all the time and just assumed that she wanted to buy the cord and install it herself. A couple of days later she came in with her vacuum and wanted a cord. After looking over her vacuum on the counter it was very obvious that much more than a cord was needed to put her old vacuum back into proper shape. The subject of the price of the cord or any labor never came up. Isuggested that she let me write a repair ticket and pay me our standard 29.50 diagnostic fee to check the vacuum over from top to bottom and that the check out fee would go towards the repair work needed. She agreed and paid me the 29.50 diagnostic fee. She called a couple of days later and the total repair price for the repair work needed was $179.50. She only wanted the cordreplaced which Ipriced at 59.50 for the cord and LABOR less the $29.50checkout fee she already paid. She assumed that the 30.00 price was for the cord and LABOR. Ithink that she made an incorrect assumption. I never at any time implied that the 30.00 or the 29.50 was the price for the cord and LABOR. If you call Bell Ford and ask for a price of a battery does she assume that the price for the battery also covers labor to install it? Sincerely Larry S[redacted]

I am replying to this complaint . I have been ill and could not reply until now. The response Larry sent you is illogical because it is NOT 1. Fact 2. Truthful and 3.Is an attempt to have this broad believe he did nothing wrong and it is okay to keep a customers money without doing any work or selling them a product. I was told on the phone by Larry it would be 30.00 for the cord to be replaced. I took my vacuum to him with the money and expected a cord to be installed. Instead he kept my money tried to rip me off by saying I needed another 179.00 in repairs which I DID not need and even cut the cord that was on the unit off without replacing it. He then kept the vacuum several more days before we could get it back. He is not telling the truth about what happened and has basically stole money for no work done. This is wrong and I want my money back he took from me . He has been dishonest in this matter and has not tried to resolve this on any level. It is normal to him to keep money from customers and then use the excuse he had to do an inspection when the fact in this matter was a cord was needed and he knew this up front because I had told him on the phone and in person when I left the vacuum with him . His story has changed to accommodate his taking my money but it DOES NOT justify keeping my money . His Bait and Switch with customers is an unethical business tactic because they bring their vacuums in with a specific request and he turns around and states the money he Requires is now for a diagnostic fee. This is wrong. I paid for a cord and it was clear as day that a CORD was REQUESTED ; nothing more! I am again requesting my money be returned .
