Muhlenberg Motors Reviews (1)

Review: I drive a 2003 Ford Expedition and on 8/12/13 I took my car to Muhlenberg Motors to diagnose what was going on with my car. On 8/11/13 I was at an intersection and my car started shaking and just shut off on me. I tried to restart it quite a few times with no luck, but after about 10 minutes it started up. This was the reason for taking it to Muhlenberg Motors to see what might be causing the issue. We were informed that they ran a [redacted] self test. [redacted] Fuel Pump Secondary Circuit Low. Performed PPT and found fuel pump to be causing problem. They then called us and told us that to fix it it needed a new fuel pump. It was a very costly repair in the amount of $937.75. We were hesitant to put that much money into the car but decided to do it since the car is in very good condition for it's age. Upon getting the car back the car back on 8/16/13 my wife drove the car daily thinking the issue was fixed but it again left her sitting in a car line up at our sons school. We called Muhlenberg Motors back and spoke with the about how evidently they didn't fix the issue. We stated we were very upset about the amount of money we paid for a new fuel pump which they stated we needed and we are still having the same issue. It didn't even need the fuel pump so now we are out $937.75. They said to bring it back to them which we did and they ran a test on it again and they stated that it was a relay that may be the issue. They stated that the relay may be getting hot and they said they would replace it. They said that they wouldn't charge us for that. The total for that was a little over $200. We picked it back up, once again thinking it was fixed but on 11/14/13 I was left sitting at an intersection with the same old thing. So far a new fuel pump was installed, a new relay, and we put a new [redacted] air filter on it and a new IAC valve, and new battery to no avail. They keep wanting to put more new things on and charge us hundreds and thousands of dollars and nothing has fixed the issue yet. I would like a refund.Desired Settlement: I feel that we should be refunded the money we spent on the fuel pump which costed us a total of $937.75. We also spent 201.31 for the new battery and installation which was ridiculous to have charged $75.00 for labor to install a new battery. We could have installed it ourselves for nothing. I feel that they are just playing me for a fool. They don't seem to know what is wrong with it but yet they keep telling me my car needs all these expensive parts to repair it and it hasn't been fixed yet.

Subject: Re: Revdex.com Complaint Submission

Hello my name is [redacted]. ([redacted]), and I was jus checking on the complaint in which I had filed with the Revdex.com regarding Muhlenburg Motors in [redacted] Va. My car is still having the same issue as before the did the numerous things that they said that I needed such as, new fuel pump, new battery, new relay switch, the list goes on and on. They have, I feel in my opinion, did repairs that weren't needed and I have in turn wasted more than $1500.00 that I don't have to spare. I have since had my car to another ford dealership and they said it never needed a fuel pump and that I was the #6 coil and spark plug which they replaced and charged me a little over $200.00. That is a far cry from the amount I had paid Muhlenburg Motors and my car still wasn't repaired. I feel that I am due a refund of the monies I have had to put out for unneeded repairs. What is the status of this claim at this point. I am considering contacting an attorney if I don't get any satisfaction from this process. Thank you for your help in this matter.

Sincerely

[redacted].
