We are in receipt of your complaint # ***In this complaint, the owner of this Dodge Caliber, Ms*** suggests that we didn't fix her vehicle correctly the first time we worked on itMs***'s vehicle was towed here by "her mechanic" who was unable to correctly diagnose or repair
her vehicle on 5/28/It was towed here a second time on 6/1/15, once again by "her mechanic"Both times we were able to successfully diagnose and repair two separate electrical issues that "her mechanic" was unable to find or fixNeither repair was related to the otherEach repair is related to the many corroded wires under the dash of her vehicleWe can assure you, as well as Ms***, that her vehicle has many more electrical issues as well as many others that need correction, and probably make her vehicle unsafe to driveWe are sure that "her mechanic" would concur with this assessment as this Dodge Caliber has sustained both front and rear end damageThe bottom line is this vehicle needs a lot of workGoing forward, we request that when Ms***'s mechanic is unable to diagnose or repair her vehicle, that they call another dealer to repair itThank you for the opportunity to respond to this complaintSincerely, Cc: Ms*** *** CHRYSLER *** ***

Revdex.com:I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.  Regards, [redacted]

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. The dealer's response does not show they take any responsibility for the car having the same issue. Stated in my original complaint -- the car was driven to them by my mechanic (somehow he got it started). The car was picked up on Friday, May 29th after they stated they cleaned a corroded wire and replaced a Relay. Upon bringnig it home, the next day, Saturday, May 30th, the car did the exact same thing and would not start. Upon this happening, I called [redacted] and informed them that the car which I just picked up less than 18 hours prior, was doing the same exact thing it had been brought to them for. I spoke to Brett, who informed me they would not charge me for the diagnostics and to bring the car back.  Monday, June 1st, I tried starting the car throughout the morning and upon putting it in Neutral, the car did start, to which we drove it back to [redacted]'s -- thinking they would fix the issue they hadn't fixed in the first place during the previous week. Once I was informed that they decided it was another issue - I went ahead to question whether what they were doing was "safe" -- a wiring problem that had to do with airbags and the ignition. [redacted] in the Service department, stated yes it was safe. According to the response [redacted] has provided, they are now claiming the car is not safe and there are many corrorded wires -- if this is the case, why were they not fixed and why was I not informed.  I have had this car for 4 years and regular maintenance has been done to it, and although it was rear-ended this year, that should have nothing to do with the issues that are causing it to have starting issues, which were still not addressed as the car is starting to hesitate when starting it now. The car has not sustained any front end damage and I resent the statements by [redacted] stating this. I also am very disappointed that [redacted] has stated the car is not safe and has many corroded wires -- if this were the case and they knew it would still have problems -- why not inform me and fix it correctly? That is what this has come down to -- they have stated things in their response to my complaint that blantantly show they did not fix the car correctly. They have not represented the Chrysler name or Dodge product at all and I inquired when asking about the item to be fixed, why they didn't stand behind the products they sell.   While I may not have purchased my vehicle there, they were not a very good representation of the Dodge name.  Due to their statements regarding "corroded wires," and there will be more issues, I believe they did not fix the issue. They did not fix the issue in the first place as the second time the car was brought to the dealer, it was doing the exact same thing as it had done when brought the first time. Regards,  [redacted]

Re: Case ID [redacted] This letter is in response to the above referenced case#. It certainly was not our intention to not perform the recall on this customer's minivan. We have been inundated with recalls over the past several months, and this one simply slipped through the cracks. The particular...

recall that they had open at the time was the R03 recall for replacement of the wireless control module of which the parts had to be ordered by the vehicles identification number. We had started ordering them in June and at one point had about 100 people awaiting their parts. This is not an excuse and we certainly should have been more attentive to this customer's request.have spoken to our Service Advisors and will try to make sure this doesn't happen again.Should you need any further information, please contact me. Sincerely, Mike [redacted] Service Director Mullane Motors [redacted]
