We have been in back and forth communication with Larry [redacted] since 3/14, regarding a [redacted] EXL that was listed for saleAs of 3/21, we were informed that they had completed their overall inspection of the vehicle, at which time we expressed interest in the vehicle, and had gone so far as to schedule an appointment for 1pm on 3/for a test drive, and to fill out the application for purchase/financeLarry was going to check with the finance department to verify the eligibility for finance on the vehicle, which was currently priced at $4721, down from $when we had first inquired about it, and call us back when he determined eligibility for financeWe phoned Larry today, 3/23, at 11:to confirm his availability, and our appointment, as we had not heard anything back from him since our last conversation, and were told by another associate that he was in a meeting, but would be there until 9PMLarry then called us back at 11:to tell us the car had been sold last night! He claims he was unaware of the sale until just now..as he had not put a hold on it, knowing we were coming in to sign the papers today! If we had not had the forethought to call before driving out to his location, and wasted the trip, we would be even angrier than we are right now! Common courtesy would be to let us know that the vehicle was sold, or that it couldn't be financed, or that he hadn't bothered to put the hold on it, knowing me would be making the trip to sign the papers!
Drove miles to view vehicle as was planned with the dealerUpon entering the vehicle to test drive, the Salesman said "By the way, the mileage as listed is not correct " Very true, the vehicle had about more miles than was listedAfter the test, I inspected the vehicleThe following items were not present as listed on *** *** and the window sticker, no front/ rear parking sensor, no remote start, no locking hubs and no backup cameraThe issue was blamed on the "Computer" using wrong info from the VINDeceptive to say the least! Most likely illegal
