We are sorry that Mr [redacted] does not seem to understand that various parts on his boiler are much like worn parts on a car The technician can only identify them when they begin to fail or have failed entirely Unfortunately, this sometimes happens when the boiler is being cleaned or sometimes shortly thereafter which can be more problematic We attempt to prevent our customers from being caught in emergency situation with no heat by replacing worn parts at the time of cleaningThey were necessary parts (Primary and Photo Eye in order to restart this boiler)The original parts simply had wear and tear from years of service and failed on restart In order to keep our customer safe and warm, the boiler needed these new parts in order to run properly and this was all explained to Mr *** and approved by him at time of serviceWe are always open to attempt to resolve any misunderstanding between the customer and ourselves As for our parts warranty - Muller Heating and Plumbing supplies the following warranty on parts supplied by us :"One year parts and labor warranty (IF HAVE ANY PROBLEMS WITHIN ONE YEAR OF INSTALLATION - FOR LABOR & PARTS WARRANTY TO BE VALID - MUST NOTIFY MULLER HEATING & PLUMBING DIRECTLY) Please Note: Due to unknown integrity of the part or parts that are not supplied by Muller Heating & Plumbing, *MHP does NOT warranty or guarantee customer supplied parts or the labor provided to install customer supplied partsIf a technician must return to re-service a customer supplied part or parts, required labor and material fees will apply and are the responsibility of the person requesting service" We really hope that this gives you the information you are looking for We do appreciate your business

No, there was no reasoning explaining or justifying this exorbitant charge, and there was no warranty made for this part. Even my several phone calls have gone un-answered. This part was working perfectly for years and there was no problem with my furnace. This is obviously an example of rip-off, and I demand my money back ($220.00). (Neither the technician nor her boss cared to answer my question. May be I was too naive to pay the invoice when it was presented!).*** ***

Customer was on site at the time of this cleaning and the failure of his worn parts was explained to him at that time by both our tech and her supervisor.  Customer agreed to the installation of the parts and the costs involved.  He was provided with an invoice both on site and by...

mail.  This is the first we have heard of his complaint and have responded to it directly by mail (letter attached).
