Review: I am an auto repair shop owner and Revdex.com member. About two weeks ago I received a phone call from [redacted], stating she was from Multi List USA. She said the reason for the phone call was to find out if I wanted to renew my subscription with Multi List USA. Not really knowing what she was talking about, I said that I did not. She said that was ok, but Multi List USA would be billing me for the subscription that I had agreed to which ran for a year, starting September 2012. I said that I did not know what she was talking about. She then went on to play a recording that sounded like me agreeing to the terms. How the recording was generated / produced, I am not sure. I will say that this whole scenario resonated with me. In May 2011, very similar circumstances occurred with a company called [redacted]. Rather than put up a fuss, I just paid the $497 invoice, to make it go away. [redacted] also had a recording of me agreeing to their terms. Since I have been on high alert to this type of scenario, I know that I did not agree to Multi List USA terms and therefore feel very strongly that I will not be paying the $499.00 invoice.Desired Settlement: Since I feel very strongly that deceptive business practices have been used, I dispute the invoice amount. I even question if Multi List USA is a ligitament business. Any advice would be appreciated.

We are in receipt of your letter regarding. the above-mentioned client. I apologize for the lateness of this reply. We wish to thank you for bringing this matter to our attention.

First of all, we would like to point out that we do not know of any company called [redacted] and we are NOT in any way associated with them.

After reviewing [redacted]'s account, it is confirmed that we do have a legal contract in which [redacted] did authorize last years' service. However, since he no longer wishes to continue our services, and in a matter

of resolving this discrepancy amicably, we have placed them on our Do Not Call List, and closed their account

with no monies owing.

We have considered the matter closed and resolved to all satisfaction of both parties.

Please do not hesitate to contact us should you require additional information.

Review: Good Morning,

I am receiving a bill for services not rendered. The company's name on the billing is Multi List USA. They do not include a website or email address. I received a call from them last Thursday and they had a recording of my voice to replay in which I heard myself recite my name back to them and my occupation - Office Manager of [redacted]. I did not however hear any agreement or what the recording was concerning. They are stating I agreed to an online yellow pages listing for this business ([redacted]). I have received a bill for $499.00. I have made numerous attempts at calling them and leaving messages. No one has returned a call or answered the phone when I called I always get a voice mail to leave a message.I am not paying this bill until I hear back from them or Revdex.com indicating this is not a fraud and they are a reputable company.Thank you for your help in this matter,[redacted]

[redacted]###-###-####Desired Settlement: Response to complaint, indicating whether or not Multi List USA is a reputable company.Thank you.

We are in receipt of your letter dated October **, 2013 regarding the above mentioned client. I apologize for the lateness of this reply.

Review: We have been called several times to renew a subscription for advertising that was never authorized. They said they would remove us from their list but that we owed $500 for the previous year's subscription. I advised that we never authorized this subscription in the first place and was told that it was authorized by [redacted]. I told them that we are a small business and advertise locally only. They insisted that [redacted] authorized this subscription and that they would call back with a recording of him agreeing to subscribe. They have not called back yet, but in the meantime I asked [redacted], who is [redacted], if he recalled authorizing this, and he said "NO." [redacted]'s name can easily be obtained from our web site, as he is [redacted] and [redacted] of [redacted]. In checking further, I found out that a company, under the name of [redacted]., pulled the same scam in 2013, and our [redacted] filed a claim with the Revdex.com Case #[redacted]. We had been suckered into paying them just to get rid of the harassment the first time. When they tried to pull the same scam again, under the name of Your [redacted], they used the recording where our [redacted] agreed to pay the first amount (under protest just to get rid of them and with the request that they never contact us again). Since Multi-List USA seems to be operating under the same MO, I looked them up under the Revdex.com on the internet and found several complaints against them - all similar to this one where they use high-pressure tactics to get you to pay for something you never authorized. This is a nasty way of obtaining customers or income for their business. I did get a laugh though when I read the first complaint where they used a recording of someone supposedly authorizing the subscription who had passed away the previous month from the date of the recording. I also noticed at the end of the Revdex.com page on Multi-List USA that they were listed with [redacted] underneath, which makes me think that they are one and the same as or affiliated with the company we filed a complaint on in 2013 and the one that tried the same tactic under Your [redacted] again just a few months later. I know that practices such as this are unethical and should be against the law. We will not be paying anything to this company or one like it EVER! They extracted money from us once - shame on us, but to try, try and try to do so again - shame on them. I hope this complaint warns anyone else reading it to BEWARE!!! and not be be foolish enough to give them a dime!Desired Settlement: Cancel any and all invoices or charges they claim that we owe, and NEVER, EVER contact us again under any company name whatsoever. A similar request was made in our previous claim to the Revdex.com, but apparently, we have been labeled as "sucker" since we did pay them once. We will continue to file claims with the Revdex.com if we hear from them or any similar company pulling the same scam, and will consider retaining an attorney if the harassment continues. I would like the Revdex.com to red flag this company and any other company operating in this manner.

Review: On September *, 2013, our office was contacted by a woman named [redacted] claiming to be from a company called MultiList USA. She said that the owner of our company had agreed to listing our business information on their website for one year starting in September 2012 at a price of $539 and wondering if we wanted to renew the listing for a second year at the discounted price of $399. I told her that we would not be renewing the listing and that the owner had never mentioned agreeing to this service. I told her that I would have to confirm that this was authorized before I would be able to submit any payment to MultiList USA. She agreed and said she would send me an invoice to show the owner. I discussed this problem with the owner, and he does not recall ever agreeing to any listing on a website over the past year. I have recieved several phone calls from this woman and each time I have told her that the owner of our company did not recall authorizing a listing on their website. I once asked if there was any proof, possibly a recording that she could let me hear in order to confirm the agreement. She said that the recording of the owner agreeing to the listing had been removed from their system and replaced with the recording of the first conversation that I had held with her. Today (November *, 2013) I recieved a call from [redacted], she was more agressive this time. She threatened to send our account to collections if we had not settled something by the end of the day. She offered to settle the account for $375. I advised her that someone would call her back before the end of the day.

I got on their website and did a geeral search of the companies in the same state and zip code as our company. Our compamy (an auto repair shop) is in a small community. There were five local businesses listed on the search results. We have businness relationship with two of the companies that were listed, so I called them and asked if they had ever recieved a phone call from MultiList USA. For the two companies I called, neither one of them had recieved a phone call nor had they agreed to having their company listed on this website. This is further proof to me that MultiList USA is not a legitimate business.Desired Settlement: We would like this company to stop contacting us as we will not be sending payment for a service that was not authorized.

Review: I recieve a phone call that I owed money for advertisting that was done the past year. They said I had a verbal agreement last year. They can not produce this verbal agreement. I did not authorize this advertising. They keep calling me about this and I need your assistance to get this company to cease.

Review: On April **or [redacted], 2014, I received a call from Multi List USA, stating West End Community Center (WECC) had a two year contract with them, which was now expiring, would I like to renew? Along with this renewal was a request for payment of $539 for the previous two years of service, and our account cannot be canceled until this amount is paid in full, and the cancellation letter is received in three business days.

We have no record of ever having entered into this contract, nor any record that they provided us with the service.

It feels like a scam, as I know of no business of this nature that provides services for two years without payment.Desired Settlement: We expect to have the entire $539 fee waived, and to be remove from any records, systems or call lists pertaining to Multi List USA.

Sincerely,

Review: I was contacted on April *,2014 and the days following numerous times by Multi List USA stating that [redacted] had a contract for advertising with them and that in order to cancel we must pay $539. I asked who authorized this and they stated they had a recording from April 2013. Approximately 3 weeks later they called me with a recording of my deceased Grandfather who passed away on January **, 2011. My Grandfather has not been at work since 2010. They were Asking him his name and address which in no way authorizes anything. How could my Grandfather talk to them in 2013 when he is deceased since 2011. I told the woman what she was doing was wrong and they are trying to scam me to pay a bill for something we never authorized. They continue to send me bills with interest accruing. Why would they be so cruel to try to take advantage of our family business and play me a recording of my deceased Grandfather .This is a total scam. I would like them to stop billing me and credit this bill which is now $555.95.Thank you very muchDesired Settlement: We would like the entire bill of $555.95 waived and to never be contacted by this company again and anything to do with Multi List USA.

Review: I was called by Multi List and told that I owed them $500.85 for on line advertising. The problem is I never was solicited or did I approve for this service. Our company has a policy of never advertising with a company we don't see face to face. When my husband answered call from them he said to cancel the service but they said we still owe them for service.Desired Settlement: I would like the charge to be deleted.

Response:

At this time, my complaint, ID [redacted] regarding Multi List USA has been resolved.

After my complaint with Multi List was closed due to lack of response they finally responded. They said because they wanted to have a good record with the Revdex.com and would forgive the charges that they had made to our business. I am quite satisfied with their response and I thank you for all that you did.

Review: My [redacted] was contacted by Multi List USA. She was told that I requested their service last year and that it was originally set up in April 2013 by myself. Then I was sent a bill for $539.00 plus interest for Internet advertising over the last year that I needed to pay to cancel my listing. I have not spoke to anyone about advertising nor did I authorize such advertising. I have no proof of response to this advertising nor can they provide any. My [redacted] has received several calls demanding payment and if payment isn't made sending us to collections. I'm sorry but I am not authorizing payment on this bill unless they can prove that this is a legitimate bill with proof of responses to this so called advertising. I never spoke to anyone from this company before and never authorized any advertising. From one company to another this is ridiculous!Desired Settlement: Unless they can prove that this is a legitimate charge, and provide proof that I indeed requested this, this bill should be canceled out. They have faxed and mailed me an invoice but that is not proof, anyone can create an invoice and demand letter.

Review: I was called by Multi List USA. I was told that my husband [redacted] told them that he wanted to advertise over the internet. I was told that it was a word of mouth agreement. Then I was sent a bill for $539.00 for Internet advertising over the last year. [redacted] said that he did not talk to anyone about advertising. I know for a fact that he did not ok any internet advertising. He will not even talk to anyone that deals with advertising. He always refers them to me. We have no proof of response to this advertising. I have tried to get in touch with this company several times. They do not answer the phone. I was able to leave them a message about a week ago but no one has called me back. I am not going to pay this bill unless they can prove that this is a legitimate bill with proof of responses to this so called advertising.Desired Settlement: Unless they can prove that this is a legitimate charge, this bill should be canceled out.
