Murakami Motors seem to have botched my Van repairI hiked downtown yesterday and found that my Van, after almost a month at Murakami's has been towed to another Garage, even though I specifically asked them NOT to do that as I do not trust the other mechanic based on a job they botched on my brakes last yearThis is absolutely unprofessional of themI drove it in there about a month ago, first time before the big snow storm, because it was experiencing "surging engine"They have never once called me to report on progress, ask questions, nothingFor the first or times I called to inquire he could not remember who I was, even though i've known him for at least yearsEach time he asked me if he had my phone number and I gave it to him again and again
The first time they asked me to come and get the Van, after I called to inquire and when I arrived it was still doing the engine surging thingIt was obvious as soon as I started her up, though it was somewhat diminishedI pointed this out to Murakami, after giving him $*** for the work thus far, which I now regret doingI asked him why they had not noticed that the Van was still surging and stalling and knockingHe said, "you'll have to speak with ***, (the mechanic) because he's off now for the weekend"He said "bring it back on Monday"She barely made it home and showed new symptoms, knocking and stalling when climbing hillsEventually, after the snow cleared that first time, in between storms, I got it back down there, stalled times on the way downIt was worse than everIt has been over a month in his shop at this point
Another thing is that after the extreme revving of the engine, which he did both in my presence and when I was not there (i heard from one of his employees) they decided to cut the guts out of the catalytic converter, as the revving had clogged it with carbon and it was heating up red hotBasically, they have totally botched my Van repair at this pointI drove it in there and can not drive it out of there as it is not longer running at all and it's not even still at Murakami'sI'm very frustrated at all of thisIt would be just great to have my van in working order again
