Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: Thank you for sending this form once again I apologize to the Revdex.com for my error in not being able to submit it earlier.I was very happy to read MsMurphy's reply as it perfectly proves my point of how unreasonable and thoroughly unprofessionally this whole matter has been handled by MsMurphy Instead of offering proof as to why she thinks that I owe their dental office an additional $199.50, she immediately fell into her diatribe of accusations, claims and name calling She called me "aggressive," "threatening," "volatile" and "harassing" while I was simply trying to address the THIRD over billing incident from their officeIt is truly unfortunate that she deems personal attacks a diversionary tactic to draw attention away from the matter at hand.I'll proceed to rebuke some of the more outlandish accusations and falsehoods that MsMurphy is spreading but will send it in a separate email as space here is limitedThanks very much, [redacted] from: [redacted] reply-to: [redacted] to: [redacted] date: Tue, May 23, at 7:PMsubject: Re: You have a New Message from Revdex.com Regarding Complaint # [redacted] Dear Revdex.com and [redacted] ,I attempted to rebut the the previous allegations and name calling by MsStacy Murphy on the website below, but unfortunately space was too limited to do so effectively.I was very happy to see that MsMurphy's reply exhibited exactly the type of unprofessional behavior that I has been so frustrating to deal with and has made resolving this entire matter impossibleAs can be clearly seen, she offered no concrete professional proof of her billing allegation but immediately resorted to personal attacks.I'll continue to address the most egregious falsehoods below:1) She stated that I was "never charged for ANY service not rendered." Along with another bill that was consequently doubled, sitting right in front of me is their invoice for $dated March 10, for a supposed occlusal guard that was never authorized, was never measured for and consequently never receivedProof positive that claiming that I was "never charged for ANY service not rendered" is a falsehood I would be more than happy to provide a copy of this invoice to Revdex.com if necessary.2) Also very interesting..she admitted that "we provide them with an estimate of what they will owe on the day of service." Which is EXACTLY what I complied with Why are their estimates so far off base, none of the other dentists that I have employed have had this problem?3) Refer to my original complaint filed with the Revdex.com Never did I use the term "fraud" while describing their overbilling nor during our one conversation If you notice, MsMurphy used the term "fraud" at least four times in her reply Makes you wonder why fraud is such a prevalent thought in her mindFeeling guilty, maybe?4) She resorted to name calling, saying that I was "aggressive, threatening, volatile and harassing." I have had exactly ONE telephone discussion with this woman and have not stepped foot into their office since my last dental appointment, which was nearly a year agoThat can hardly be considered "harassing" by any sane individualAgain, another falsehood by MsMurphy They have continued to harass me by sending bills intermittently over the past year and I have replied to some of these bogus bills by jotting on the bill that "full payment was received at the time of service" and sending in the return mailPeriodOtherwise, I have initiated NO CONTACT with them whatsoever in nearly a yearI always have and always will have an exceptional credit rating and reputation for integrityI will not stand for having my good name impugnedDon't forget this was the THIRD time in as many appointments that they attempted to overbill me and have immediately contacted their office upon each occurrenceAs for her accusation that "I threatened to come to their office to tell everyone that DrMurphy is a fraud" is more of her absurd ranting I did ask to speak with her husband, DrMurphy, regarding this matter as MsMurphy has no immediate supervisor to monitor her behavior At that time I was told "that would never be possible because DrMurphy was much too busy to ever talk to me." If DrMurphy was "much too busy to talk to me," I did offer to stop by their office to possibly contact him in a quiet few moments between patients get this matter resolvedIt was apparent that she became very nervous and very defensive about the thought of her husband knowing what was going on.5) I NEVER intimated that her employee was rude as she was not It was MsMurphy who was exceedingly rude and disrespectfulIt is apparent however, that her employee was not properly trained or qualified to quote the prices that she did.6) Another very telling confession by MsMurphy...she stated "I stepped onto my front porch" as she was "at home with her children." Apparently MsMurphy does not consider the professional administration of her office a priority If she spent more time in her office insuring that her employees were properly trained to accurately do their jobs instead of at home with her children, we all wouldn't be wasting time with this nonsense right now7) Another HUGE falsehood by MsMurphy...she NEVER came close to an apology, said nothing "kindly" nor stated that they "would be happy to work with me, if needed." All I've gotten from that woman are immediate attacks, yelling and denials, saying "I don't care who's mistake it was...you're going to pay for it!"8) She was right in her assertion that if their harassment of me does not end, I fully intend to file complaints in every reasonable forum possibleBeginning with the Revdex.com is just the tip of the iceberg I attempted to file a complaint with the American Dental Association, but unfortunately billing disputes are not in their repertoireAmericans (especially the elderly) are duped out of millions of dollars each year and it is not only our right but our duty to call out unethical business practices.9) I have no idea where she formulated the whopper "she has been to OVER DENTIST and she has her own Lawyer and has done this many times in the past." Completely false, as the number of dentists isn't even remotely close and I have never had the occasion to contact my lawyer regarding dental billingI have no idea what she attempted to accomplish by making that upIf in fact my attorney would need to be consulted, MsMurphy would not be happy with that outcome as I would then be forced to sue her for the resulting attorney's fees and the measly $that they are demanding wouldn't even cover one hour of my attorney's going rate.If MsMurphy has the idea that personal attacks, lies and accusations will motivate me to pay her an additional $that was admittedly THE THIRD ERROR on their part, she is sadly mistaken There is absolutely no way that I would cave in to her bullying tactics. It is apparent that this matter will go nowhere as she has absolutely no proof that they are making a legitimate claim The "she said vsshe said" tactic with all these accusations and name calling is an embarrassing, total waste of all of our time and effortName calling and accusations of rudeness have absolutely nothing to do with whether their alleged bill is accurate and MsMurphy's tactic of throwing in her personal squabbling is a flimsy diversionary tactic. My sincere thanks for your time and consideration in this matter, [redacted]

Along with another bill that was consequently doubled, sitting right in front of me is their invoice for $366.00 dated March 10, 2016 for a supposed occlusal guard that was never authorized, was never measured for and consequently never received. Proof positive that claiming that I was "never charged for ANY service not rendered" is a falsehood.  I would be more than happy to provide a copy of this invoice to Revdex.com if necessary.2) Also very interesting..she admitted that "we provide them with an estimate of what they will owe on the day of service."  Which is EXACTLY what I complied with.  Why are their estimates so far off base, none of the other dentists that I have employed have had this problem?3) Refer to my original complaint filed with the Revdex.com.  Never did I use the term "fraud" while describing their overbilling nor during our one conversation.  If you notice, Ms. Murphy used the term "fraud" at least four times in her reply.  Makes you wonder why fraud is such a prevalent thought in her mind. That can hardly be considered "harassing" by any sane individual. Again, another falsehood by Ms. Murphy   They have continued to harass me by sending bills intermittently over the past year and I have replied to some of these bogus bills by jotting on the bill that "full payment was received at the time of service" and sending in the return mail. Period. Otherwise, I have initiated NO CONTACT with them whatsoever in nearly a year. I always have and always will have an exceptional credit rating and reputation for integrity. I will not stand for having my good name impugned. Don't forget this was the THIRD time in as many appointments that they attempted to overbill me and have immediately contacted their office upon each occurrence. As for her false accusation that "I threatened to come to their office to tell everyone that Dr. Murphy is a fraud" is more of her absurd ranting  I did ask to speak with her husband, Dr. Murphy, regarding this matter as Ms. Murphy has no immediate supervisor to monitor her behavior.  At that time I was told "that would never be possible because Dr. Murphy was much too busy to ever talk to me."  If Dr. Murphy was "much too busy to talk to me," I did offer to stop by their office to possibly contact him in a quiet few moments between patients get this matter resolved. I have no idea what she attempted to accomplish by making that up. If in fact my attorney would need to be consulted, Ms. Murphy would not be happy with that outcome as I would then be forced to sue her for the resulting attorney's fees and the measly $199.50 that they are demanding wouldn't even cover one hour of my attorney's going rate.If Ms. Murphy has the idea that personal attacks, lies and accusations will motivate me to pay her an additional $199.50 that was admittedly THE THIRD ERROR on their part, she is sadly mistaken.  There is absolutely no way that I would cave in to her bullying tactics. It is apparent that this matter will go nowhere as she has absolutely no proof that they are making a legitimate claim.  The "she said vs. she said" tactic with all these false accusations and name calling is an embarrassing, total waste of all of our time and effort. In response to customer's statement of the problem: Dr. Michael Murphy and our staff take pride it the honesty, integrity and service we provide each and every patient. Our business always bills every procedure rendered to each patient's individual insurance plan. We request patient...

portion at the time services are rendered, as we receive benefits for each patient and provide them with an estimate of what they will owe on the day of service. Due to the fact we are contracted with insurance companies we are required by law to submit all services rendered. Unfortunately, we cannot change fees, or not collect the patient portion as we would committing insurance fraud. We receive a copy of the patients Explanation of Benefits with payment and the patient receives an Explanation of Benefits as well, stating their patient portion owed to the doctor. In regards to the accusations of misrepresentation and fraud this patient was never charged for ANY service not rendered. My employee was verbally accused over the phone and threatened to the point where she placed a personal call to Stacy, office manager, Dr. Murphy's wife. My employee was upset due to a very aggressive patient threatening to come down the office and make a scene. She called Dr. Murphy's employee unintelligent, rude, a fraud and unqualified, our employee stated she was going to hang up on her because of her yelling. I was called at this point. I stepped onto my front porch to call [redacted] on my personal phone to resolve her frustration. As I introduced myself over the phone the patient exclaimed, "THANK GOD YOU CALLED ME, YOUR STAFF IS RIDICULOUS, AWFUL, RUDE AND THEY DON'T KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING", I let her continue and kindly led her back to our position with her insurance. There was an initial $199.00 due as stated by her insurance company. I explained we do our best and we apologize if this is more than you expected and we are happy to work with you if needed. At this time I was told "Listen here little missy" •   l am a  fraud •   Dr. Murphy is nice •   She will tell everyone not to come here, and tell everyone Dr. Murphy's office is a fraud, she will call everyone and post it all over Facebook, social medial, reviews, and get on line and tell everyone. •   She said she has been to OVER 8 DENTIST and she has her own Lawyer and has done this many  times in the past. politely interrupted her at this point as I was at home with my children, and told her it was not okay for you to verbally abuse my employees, myself and threaten Dr. Murphy's staff. I explained I was going to hang up as this conversation is not productive and she hollered "You will be hearing from my lawyer", she then hung up on me. Our hope is this volatile and threatening patient that is harassing our office will understand our legal position we have with her insurance company. We apologize and have done our best to resolve.
