I visited the dealership yesterday and was greeted very wellThe Salesperson was very helpful in showing me what I wanted to see from the cars I picked from their websiteI really didn't want a (yr old Nissan Altima in great condition) and the other car a Hyndai Accent wasnt really the model I wanted but it was in my price range and beautiful I really want a Hyndai ElantraWhy I'm writing this review is because of the response from the salespersonHe immediately said if I don't really like the Hyndai Accent he would find me what I wantedI have him a list of criteria In looking for(engine or over) etcThe salesperson told me he would get back with me in a couple of daysI loved this customer satisfaction approachI felt like he cared more about getting the customer what they want than just getting an immediate sale

I live an hour and a half away from this establishmentI was shopping for a very specific vehicle that just so happened to be a convertible under around $Even though I had the money to pay for the car outright, I decided to finance and pay it off in just a few monthsI had a lengthy conversation with the finance company, was approved and had been told that my proposed down payment was more than enoughDrove all the way there to meet a confused staff, the salesperson I spoke with on an extended lunch and another fill in salesman who didn't have a clue other than to tell me that now all of a sudden the bank wants you to put down $on this $vehicleI declined and it was all of a sudden approved by "the boss" to take $downThis was bad business practice and a pure waste of my timeThere are tons of dealers up and down capital BlvdThere's a reason why there aren't people waiting in line to do business with this placePrinciples far outweigh what I wanted

I was looking for a used BMW for my wife. I have to say that they team at Murhy was great in every way. The 330ci I was looking at had a few scratches and had a few things that did not work. Not only did they fix my concerns they even fixed some I did not see. I will say that they will see me again for my next used purchase. Outstanding experience and excellent customer service!

Brought a 2006 Jaguar from this used car dealer and was made all types of promises because the car was having all types of problems one week after purchased. Now I own a $12000 investment that can't pass inspection. I wouldn't buy a bicycle from this company.

I am extremely satisfied with the customer service I received from Murphy Motors in Raleigh. They were all very friendly and courteous and made my car buying experience very wonderful. [redacted] my salesperson, excellent! [redacted] the finance manager, excellent also! I traveled two hours to come to their business and am most thankful that I did!

Ok so.. where do I start.. I bought and pd cash for.my car a couple weeks ago and this is after going down a couple times looking at the same car. Anyways.. after trying to.negotiate the price, the sales guy agreed on a price and said tge owner would not go down anymore because of all "The work " that has been put in to this car. So apparently it had new tires and all this stuff done. Well two days after I had it.. my check engine light came on so after calling and calling to get it fixed. They lied and said they called two days prior to bring it down. So we finally get it fixed after a week of not having a car. I finally get it back with the caditic converter fixed. Hmmmm alot of work huh... so right after I get it back.. my car starts swerving to tge left and shaking really bad. I play the calling game again and all I get is tge run around. I take it to my mechanic and now after 750.00 later , I have 4.new tires. Thank god for this since I.needed a wheel bearing and tread was coming off of the tires. Again.. what all work was put into this car???????? I would.never recommend anyone go to them.. they lie and give you the run around.

Unsafe locking defects, battery usage depleted due to ignition defects, safety concerns regarding alarms, key access. While at the dealership I addressed a concern with the key fob not working. The salesman and owner both stated that they just replaced the battery and it should work. We asked for a receipt and none could be supplied. Also, the driver's seat is broken causing possibly laceration issues. I asked for that to be reapired..the salesman in turn went out and asked someone to fix it.. After leaving the dealership and having to stop for gas IMMEDIATELY because the tank was dangerously low (below E) I noticed issues with the locking of the doors. I was alone and was going thru downtown. After arrivign home I removed the key from the ignition, when opening the door it made a dinging sound as most cars do when the key is in the door. The next morning I woke to a dead battery. The radio has to be manually turned off due to the ignition defect. THe ignition acts as though the key is still in the igintion in turn allowing radios etc to continue to run and deplete battery life. Next, as taking my child to school we/he gets locked in the car b/c the automatic door locks are defective and the door wouldn't unlock. Luckily he was able to manually unlock the door and get out. Lastly, my seat wasn't repaired or even attempted to be repaired. When confronting the dealership with these issues I simply asked to return the car. They stated they weren't aware of the issues and that they don't do returns. The dealership was aware of all of the cars issues and sold the car with know seriously dangerous issues/defects. The dealership was dishonest with me about being able to get me financed with banks...they did on lot financing because that was their only option. I have been approved at reputable lenders just in the past two days. I would never recommend them to anyone. Desired SettlementA refund of down payment and return of the vehicle to the lot.Business Response [redacted] came to Murphy Motor Co on Monday Feb. 17 to purchase a car. She expalined that her car had just"blown up" and she had to have a car. we did everything we could to get her into a car. Unfortunately due to privacy laws, their is a lot of information I cant give in my response to this complaint. We close at 6:30 PM and we stayed at our office until 7:30PM to complete the transaction with [redacted] so she would have transportation. At the time of the sale, the issue with a broken piece on the seat was discussed and we told her we would be happy to fix for her but being so late in the day she could bring it back the next day and we would have fixed. The next day (Tuesday 18th)she called us around noon and told us she was approved with another dealer with less money down so she wanted to return our car to us. So basically she thought she could use our car until she found a beeter deal then return the car to us. I explained to her that their was not a return policy and the deal was already finalized with the finance company. Once that was explained to [redacted] she became rude with me and started complaining about everything she possibly could about the car becasuse we would not let her return the car. Then she hung up on me when I was trying to make an appointment for her to take the car to the mechanic to fix the seat. Murphy Motor Co. has been in business for over 15 years anhd we pride ourselves in selling quality cars and taking care of our customers. This is a baseless and unfounded compalaint! If anyone has any questions, my name is [redacted] and I am the owner of Murphy Motor Co. you can reach me on my cell # ([redacted]) [redacted].

Complaint100% Approval Rate listed in television ad- I was DeniedI saw a television ad on channel 6 on time Warner cable. The ad featured "A+" rating with the Revdex.com, only to dIscover that was inaccurate. Applied for credit with the company after seeing that there approval rate was 100% this is not true. I was immediately denied credit.Desired SettlementI want to be approved for a vehicle [redacted] Business Response Contact Name and Title: M. [redacted], PresidentContact Phone: (XXX) XXX-XXXXContact Email: [redacted]@aol.comThere were no false claims In our TV advertisement. Mr. [redacted] was not denied a loan. Lenders have requirements based on customers credit. Due to privacy laws I can't elaborate on details on any customers. This is an unfounded complaint.Consumer Response I have a screenshot of the false claim in the television ad. Please let me know where it should be sent. Final Consumer Response This issue has been resolved to my satisfaction. The Owner contacted me and clarified the television advertisement information. I appreciate the assistance from all parties involved. Final Business Response I tried to download the screenshot several times but could not get the screenshot downloaded. I know what the commercial says. its says 100% approval rate. we have a 100% approval rate. Commercial says we have an A rating with Revdex.com. We have an A-, its still an A rating. There was nothing fraudulent or intentionally misleading on our part. Once again there is plenty I wish I could say but due to privacy laws I can not comment on the specifics of any customer. The customer can come pick up his car as soon as he meets the requirements from the lender.

I live an hour and a half away from this establishment. I was shopping for a very specific vehicle that just so happened to be a convertible under around $4000. Even though I had the money to pay for the car outright, I decided to finance and pay it off in just a few months. I had a lengthy conversation with the finance company, was approved and had been told that my proposed down payment was more than enough. Drove all the way there to meet a confused staff, the salesperson I spoke with on an extended lunch and another fill in salesman who didn't have a clue other than to tell me that now all of a sudden the bank wants you to put down $3000 on this $4000 vehicle. I declined and it was all of a sudden approved by "the boss" to take $2100 down. This was bad business practice and a pure waste of my time. There are tons of dealers up and down capital Blvd.... There's a reason why there aren't people waiting in line to do business with this place. Principles far outweigh what I wanted. ","neg-2
