Response:the wheel in question was cracked and this was explained to the customer when they left our shopwe told them that we had put sealer on the crack to hopefully stop any potential leaks but it was their responsibility to keep a watch out for any loss of air pressure in case the sealer didn't
workwe do this on many wheels because new jersey potholes cause many wheels to cracksome leak and some don't but we can't always be sure if the sealer will workwe sell and install over tires per day so we see this very oftenthe *** *** diagnosis was incorrect because the tire was driven on with low air pressure.by the time *** *** saw the tire it was so severely damaged there would be no way to tell what caused the leak .we believe the cracked wheel is the reason that the tire failed not an internal defectwe showed the customer the inside of the tire when she brought it back and explained this to her.we offered her another tire at a reduced price but she refused.we have been in business for over years and have never had any complaints filed with the Revdex.combecause of this we are willing to give her a tire free of charge after she gets the cracked wheel repaired or replacedif you can arrange this we would be happy to comply
