As of 3/25/the warranty with *** has not been changed, and I have not been contacted by Murphy's like they said they would. Please leave this complaint open until they follow through with what they proposed in their response

My credit card company required me to get written statements from other local plumbers attesting to the outrageous nature of the charges; previous bills from other plumbers I'd used (at 1/5th the cost!) were deemed insufficient proofThey did not give me very much time to collect these statementsWhile several plumbers I spoke to on the phone agreed that Murphys overcharged me and had a terrible reputation on Cape Cod for doing exactly what they'd done to my family (one plumber even told me a story about how they ripped off a very old single woman), none was willing to put this in writingUltimately, I was unable to provide such a statement to the credit card company, largely due to running out of timeHowever, I stand by my complaint against this terribly run company and would appreciate it if the Revdex.com kept them on notice so that they stop taking advantage of peopleI have never in my life contested a bill or filed such a complaintAnd I am currently renegotiating the terms of my use of that credit card (and possibly cancelling it ) because of what I view as a mishandling of this situationI am very thankful for the existence of Angie's List and the Internet which is where I'll also be taking my complaints against Murphys
