The customer was overjoyed about our work in Nov 2015.  We took an overgrown, bushy mesquite tree with several layers of unnecessary limbs and years worth of inside clutter and dead growth and turned it into this beautiful work of art.  During the original estimate, Mr M[redacted] explained to...

the customer that this type of tree is the fastest growing tree in the valley and if unattended for at least 5 yrs, it would return to this original state.  No one can stop Mother Nature but the customer can have us maintain the tree as it grows because we made the tree healthier by trimming off major amounts of debris that the tree had inside.  Mr M[redacted] did not and does not guarantee anything that Mother Nature provides and certainly cannot stop the growth of a tree.  This customer took Mr [redacted] claim of the approximate 5 yrs of growth to mean a guarantee.  He only warned her that her tree will return to the original condition if she wants it to within a 5 yr period.  [redacted] A-1 Tree Service did a fantastic job and explained to the customer at the estimate what we would do and gave a price to do it.  We accomplished everything that we promised.  Honesty to our customers is foremost. Sincerely,[redacted]Office Mgr

Our company always has our customers satisfaction at heart.  This customer who praised our completed job expects us to maintain her tree (which is the fastest growing tree in the valley) for the next 3-4 years for FREE and I'm sorry that won't happen.  During the estimate, our owner explained fully to the customer that if we trim her tree radically due to the huge amount of foliage on it including crossing branches, that the tree would not have to be radically trimmed again for at least 3-5 years.  She will still have to maintain the shaping/trimming of the tree on a yearly basis so that it grows properly in a healthy way.  We spent a considerable amount of man hours making sure the tree is perfect and the customer way completely satisfied.  This job was paid for via trade dollars and no legal tender was exchanged.  We still had to pay our employees and pay dump fees out of our pocket.  So this customer got a lot of work done for practically free.  We will not do her mesquite tree for trade or otherwise for free.  No tree service can control mother nature and stop a tree's growth.  This response is from the Owner of the company who talked face to face with the customer at the initial estimate.

$900.00 job.  He initially gave you two prices being the lesser $500.00 amount which he explained would not be up and inside clean out of clutter due to a considerable amount of cleanup and labor intensive for our workers.  It does include tipping back lower branches and chipping/clean up.  He understood that you wanted to get it properly done with the upper and lower branches trimmed properly.  That is what he men was directed to do and what job they did for you on October 20, 2014.  After [redacted]'s visit with you on 12/8/14 your [redacted] Card was processed for only $500.00 and your card number was shredded immediately by me.  To resolve your issue I will personally send you a paid in full, itemized billing receipt.  I hope this will satisfy your needs and that you enjoy your well trimmed Chinese Elm.  Happy Holidays, [redacted]Office Manager[redacted]'s A-1 Tree Service

I just had 2 big palm trees removed by this company and they did a great job! I would definitely recommend them!

Mr. Murphy came to my home, I told him what I wanted done with removing trees and hedges, and using his cherry picker to trim a huge pine tree and he was so persuasive, he left with my job. I could not pay the entire amount, and he is letting me make payments. The leaves, dust and hard work in order to take care of all the foliage was done expertly, quickly and I was able to guide Mr. Murphy's expert tool in trimming our pine tree. Now it has so many new pine cones and new growth that it almost thanked me for cutting all the extra branches. Mr. Murphy and crew are excellent!

Mr. Murphy came to my house to check out my ash tree, which was exhibiting signs of distress. He suggested that a berm to contain water be built around the base of the tree, and that I should fill the area with water on a regular basis. He said that, if I were to do this, I would have a beautiful tree.

I paid him $300 dollars to build the berm, and I watered the tree as recommended. He never stopped by during the time the work was being perfomed, nor did he come to check the job when it was finished.

Two weeks after this was completed, leaves began falling off the tree in great numbers, and I contacted Mr. Murphy.

At this point, he told me that the tree was probably dying, and that we just had to wait and see.

I feel that $300 is mighty steep for the small amount of dirt brought in to build the berm (which only took half an hour to build), just to be told that the tree would probably die anyway.

Review: Mr. [redacted] came to my home and surveyed the tree that needed trimming. He waved his arms around and loudly said that it would be $900.00 to trim the tree. I told him I could not afford that much. He then continued to lower the price . When he got to $500.00 I said I could pay that much. We went over verbally what the trimming would involve. i.e.: Cutting back from over the neighbors yard, cleaning out the interior and carrying the trimmings to the front and running them through his chipper shredder. Four of his men arrived on Oct, 20 and proceeded to trim my tree. They did an excellent job on the tree. However, they walked on and broke 5 plastic and metal hose guides. One of the men ask if he could have a lemon from my tree. I said yes. They proceeded to remove six lemons from my tree. (They left one lemon on the tree. It is a small tree and only had seven lemons on it this year! ) The following day I had to have my own lawn service man remove many short trimmings left in the close by bushes at a cost of $25.00.

I did not get a written estimate. Nor did I receive a written bill. On Dec 1 I received a phone call from a woman who stated that she worked in the office wanting me to pay $900.00 for the tree trim job. I stated that I had not agreed to $900.00, only $500.00. She said she would have "[redacted]" call me later that day. He did not call. On Dec. 4, Mr. [redacted] arrived at my home demanding $900.00 because that is the amount of work his men did. I again stated that I had never agreed to that amount and I could only pay $500.00. On my charge card. After much yelling and stating that he would never trim my tree again he took my credit card, wrote down the numbers and said that it would probably be two to three weeks before his wife could send it thru because she just had surgery, and he didn't know how to do it. He gave me no receipt, no bill and now I don't know what he is going to do with my card number! .Desired Settlement: I want a detailed bill, with charges listed and a receipt for my payment of $ 500.00 marked on the bill as paid in full.

Murphy’s A-1 Tree Service aerated and trimmed my 30 ft. pine tree on July 18, 2013. [redacted] (owner) and his friendly crew did a great job, using a bucket truck, while 2 trimmers were repelling as they work their way down the tree. A second crew came to clean/shred branches through a wood chipper. Great teamwork and well organized service. [redacted] Murphy explained ahead of time the work to be performed, giving me a beautiful flyer of his company. The crew arrived as scheduled and on time. This is an A+++ tree service, guaranteed satisfaction.
