Review: In October of 2013, Murphys Auto Body entered into an agreement to repair collision related damage to a 2001 [redacted] belonging to [redacted]. [redacted] Insurance Company issued a payment of $4295.05, made payable to Murphys Auto Body Inc, for the repair of **. [redacted]'s vehicle. Murphys Auto Body received the check issued for the repairs and cashed it to begin the repair process. Murphys Auto Body later discovered additional damage to the undercarriage rendering the vehicle a total loss. While in the process of settling the total loss claim with **. [redacted], Murphys Auto Body agreed to release **. [redacted]'s vehicle for no less than $1750.00 in advanced charges, a large portion of which was to cover storage charges accrued while the vehicle was at their facility. [redacted] agreed to pay these excessive charges to prevent any additional delays in settlement. Upon reaching an settlement agreement with the vehicle owner, [redacted] requested that Murphys Auto Body refund the repair payment to the vehicle owner. Upon speaking to [redacted] at Murphys Auto Body, he initially refused stating that he had not received his refund for the parts ordered for this repair. We later came to an agreement that [redacted] at Murphys Auto Body would issue **. [redacted] $2539.05, as $1756 was still pending refund from the parts distributors. Additionally, [redacted] advised that he would receive the refund within a couple weeks and he would in turn reissue the $1756 difference back to Dairyland. This agreement all took place on November 25, 2013.

We would like to inform the Bureau that [redacted] Insurance Company has made several attempts to speak with [redacted] at Murphys Auto Body regarding the status of this refund. [redacted] has tried to reach [redacted] both in the morning and afternoon to accomodate his schedule, without success. All associates that [redacted] has spoken to at Murphys Auto Body have told our company that [redacted] is unavailable and that he would return our call. To date, [redacted] has not returned any of our calls.Desired Settlement: [redacted] requests that [redacted] (Murphys Auto Body) contact [redacted] Insurance Company and fullfill his obligation to refund the $1756.00 owed to us as part of this collision claim.
