Review: The first cleaning person was supposed to come about a week ago. She did not show up. They said they would send someone else and charge $25 dollars less than the original price. So $55 base rate and $12 dollars for every hour needed past 4 hours. The person that came Monday was one hour late. I asked for identification and the employee refused and called the manager Olivia, and she said she wasnt required to show ID. We decided to let her work anyway. The worker left after 4 hours saying she had to commute back home and couldn't stay. Olivia sent another person Tuesday who did a poor job. It is my belief that while cleaning the refrigerator, she broke parts of the drawers. She said it took 5 hours, but I paid her for 6 accidentally. They didn't inform me, and when I noticed I tried to contact them. I spoke with the Owner who offered to refund me for both the drawers and the overcharge as well as send someone to properly clean my house. When I called again to schedule a cleaning, I spoke to the owner again who told me to stop calling and that It was harassment, and he would not be sending anyone to my home. Desired Settlement: $55+$24=$79 dollars for the service which the owner offered to send back.$106 for the drawers which the owner offered to paySend someone to complete the job, which the owner offered to do

Hello [redacted], My name is Peter F[redacted] and I am the owner of Murphy's Maids. I am very sorry that [redacted] was unhappy with our service. We do on an average of 275 cleanings per month and do everything in our power to insure our customers satisfaction. I believe we do a good job accommodating our customers as we have been in business for 30 + years and receive very few complaints. I did speak with [redacted] as well as my office manager Olivia and the cleaning person Danielle. We try to be fair and listen to all sides. The version I received from Danielle and Olivia was markedly different than the one I received from [redacted] initially accused Danielle of stealing a antique broach and called Olivia to register a complaint. Olivia instructed the customer to call the immediately call the Police. I then called Danielle to discuss and she was very upset and confused as she explained to me that [redacted] appeared very happy with the cleaning and made no mention of anything missing. She even went so far as to ask Daniele if she could have her come back in a few weeks time and clean again. Danielle started to cry and insisted that she did everything asked of her at the customer's home and did not steal anything. We then received a call back from the customer stating that they were mistaken and had found the broach. At that point they expressed their unhappiness with the cleaning job and accusedDanielle of breaking a drawer in the refrigerator. At this point I spoke with [redacted] and listened to her complaints and told her I would need to discuss with Danielle as she had made no mention of this prior. Danielle stated that [redacted] was with her virtually throughout the entire cleaning process and she didn't break anything. I then spoke with [redacted] again and after listening to her complaints agreed to pay for now two refrigerator drawers that she said were broken tas her husband had found another one and that it would cost $104 to replace both. I told her I would send her a check for the drawers and I would refund her the cost of the cleaning. Frankly after the theft accusation I had a hard time believing all of this but I wanted try to make the customer happy. I have never had a problem with Danielle and on the contrary almost all of here customers ask for to come back. After all of this [redacted] repeatedly called our office despite everyone involved being very courteous and accommodating and bending over backwards to rectify the situation. It is absurd that [redacted] after all of her complaints and accusations then wanted us to send another cleaner. Why if all that they said happened really did, would that want to use the same service? I will certainly refund her cleaning fee and I will pay for the drawers despite my misgivings but we will not send another person back to her home.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

I am not accusing anyone of stealing. I am disputing the fact that I was overcharged for the cleaning service. I’ve used their service off and on for 20 years. I have received the refund for the service and broken drawers. I still feel that the company discriminated against me and that the willingly overcharged me.
