Tell us why here...As I appreciate the opportunity to respond to this complaint, I first of all wanted to thank the Revdex.com of MS for all of their work and support of local businesses.  In regard to the complaint, we installed 4...

separate lighting systems at the four entry pillars of [redacted]. We installed the lights and transformers as per our normal installation procedures. The transformers each had a photocell to turn on each individual system at dusk and off at dawn, or until the timer turned the lights off. As lighting amounts can be slightly different depending on which direction the photocell is facing, each of the systems should turn on and off at slightly different times per the amount of ambient light. We were contacted about a bad photocell shortly after the installation, and my supervisor went out and installed a new one and checked the entire system. There was apparently just a bad photocell from the factory. After the small repair, all was working properly.  Shortly thereafter, we were contacted again about another issue with the lighting system.  When we went out to attempt to remedy the problem, my supervisor advised me that the internals of the transformers had been tampered with by disconnecting the "factory" plug for the photocells and hard wiring the existing photocells. This kind of "retrofitting" is not advised or recommended by us the installer, nor the manufacturer. I have included some evidence of the text correspondence as an attachment to view. As one can see in the messages we received, HOA representatives admittedly made "permanent" connections to the internals of the transformers. While I understand that it is their property, we cannot warranty anything that has been tampered with, wires and plugs cut, and retrofitted to be made to be operational. Also, as you can read, they tell us that "all lights are fully functional" and that we "have been wonderful in trying to resolve this". They also go on to mention that "the lights are beautiful, and I thank you again for everything".
Therefore, we did respond to the issues they were having initially. However, as I had mentioned to them after viewing the "tampering and retrofitting" of the internals of the system, this voids all warranties expressed or implied. The attached text information and email are evidence that they took it upon themselves to "fix" what they thought were issues.  If it is simply a photocell that is not functional currently, they can be purchased relatively cheap (ie.$20) and installed by the HOA, apparently, as they have already permanently modified the systems.
Thank you for the opportunity to respond.

We installed an irrigation system at the [redacted] Residence on 7/7/15. We have provided warranty coverage for them before during the 12 month warranty period. However, after the 12 month standard warranty period for irrigation systems, is completed, customers must pay for service performed. We were...

contacted to repair the system on Nov. 4th of this year. When we arrived onsite, we discovered that one head next to driveway was damaged from a motor vehicle or lawn mower. The other head simply had the ground around the head eroded away. The customer wanted it dropped down, and we did this for them. We also repaired the broken head as mentioned above by the driveway. We promptly mailed them a bill for 96.38. This is our normal procedure for all systems we install. Thank you.
