I purchased a ticket to [redacted] concert from [redacted] in [redacted] mall for April 29, 2016. [redacted] did not show up and my daughther was informed along with the entire audience that a refund would be issued. I went to the convention center on Monday May 2, 2016 and was given a piece of paper with [redacted] number XXX-XXX-XXXX and [redacted] XXX-XXX-XXXX. I was asked to contact them for a refund because the convention center was only reimbursing for the tickets they sold. I called both number on May 2, 2016. [redacted] mailbox was full so I sent a text message to his number. I left a voicemail on [redacted] phone. When I did not receive a response, I called both numbers again and left a message for [redacted] I was able to speak to [redacted] He stated that the deadline was May 3 at 12pm to receive a refund and he sent the information through facebook and he responded to all of his messages. Then he proceeded to say that he had an I-phone and when he gets lots of messages sometimes they may not come through. I informed him that I left a voicemail and text message with no response. I also explained that I would not have access to his facebook information. He explained that he has bills just like everyone else and he would not refund my $40.Product_Or_Service: ConcertOrder_Number: 443Account_Number: NADesired SettlementI would like a refund of $40 for the ticket I purchased. Business Response My company Muscle Gang Entertainment hosted a concert at the Greenville Convention Center on April 29, 2016. The headliner of the show had issues with his tour bus enroute to the facility. We are in a legal battle with the before mention artist to be reimbursed the money we invested. We made announcements on the radio as well as social networking sites keeping customers updated on refund dates, times and locations. We also included phone numbers to be reached to get refunds back to people. We announced a cut off date as well and the complainant tried to recieve a refund after the cut off date on May 4, 2016. We are stern in the decision we made and stood by it to concentrate on another upcoming program we have on May 7th. We also announced that we will honor the remaining tickets by allowing free admission to our next event on May 7th, 2016. We kindly regret that we couldn't get a refund to the complainant but are willing to honor her ticket stub at other Muscle Gang Entertainment events.Consumer Response I have documentation which includes a text message dated for May 2 requesting the process for me to receive a refund along with my cell phone bill that documents the calls I made prior to the deadline for me to receive a monetary refund. There was no effort made from the agency to contact me in order for me to obtain the information. Since the agency failed to return my text or my voicemails, I do not feel that it is best business practice for them not to honor my refund. I attempted to make contact prior to the deadline. As a result of them not returning my calls, I have not received a refund. I could understand not receiving a refund if I had not made contact prior to the deadline established. However, that was not the case. Also, it would have been better business practice to give the convention center along with [redacted] the dates and times that refunds would be provided. Since that information was not given to those agencies,the only information they could provide was a name and telephone number to call. I called both numbers, one number I left a message on May 2nd and when the other mailbox was full, I followed up with a text. I think I was diligent in attempting to resolve the issue prior to established deadline. A compromise would be me receiving $20 in cash and a $20 credit towards a future event of my choice since I purchased a VIP ticket. Final Business Response I did everything by the books. All the money off the concert I refunded. When it wasn't my fault. If you miss the refund deadline , they could have use there ticket this past Saturday at another event I relayed that message to everyone. This lady just want to make trouble and give a brother a bad name. I apologize for what happen we all took a lost the artist mess it all up for everyone I'm talking to a lawyer now just trying to get my money back. I returned every call and text message all that stuff she is writing are lies.
