of* drew a huge response--following a mention on the NBC-NewsThose who logged on to our website received "an automatic confirmation and fulfillment notice" --just like we always offer and like most online shoppers regularly receiveBUT the announcement shortly after 10pm overwhelmed our system-- selling tickets in less than minutesOur Square online sales system does not allow us to shut down sales when a limit is metOur space limit for the event was seatsThe following morning when I learned about the excess sales-- I quickly stopped all online sales-- and posted a SOLD OUT message on our home pageOut team then reviewed the time stamp on each order-- identifying the first who responded to the NBC-announcementWe then offered to those ticket buyers "beyond the first ticket buyers" two options -- (1) a chance to sit in an over flow room (without access to any stars) but able to see the presentation on a closed circuit feed; or (2) a full credit for their purchasesThe option was theirsMost people asked for a refund and they have been issuedI personally talked with scores of irate and disappointed fans, explaining to all the procedures stated aboveWe regret any hard feelings but a hot ticket and technology over whelmed usWe are exploring with Square an automatic stop action and set limits in the futureWe also have the contact information for al disappointed fans and IF the casts ever return- THEY will be the contacted first BEFORE we announce the event publically*** MBC President
